Reviews of all things of interest to California "foodies" can be found in this section, including motels, defunct restaurants, interesting places to purchase food, and much more...

Butterfly Creek Winery:  Delicious wine, locally grown and produced by the friendliest winemast you'll ever meet in Mariposa County, or anyplace else.  Relaxed wine tasting in the beautiful foothills near Yosemite.

Jack's Munchie Meals:  A calorie bomb, a nutritionist's nightmare, and the menu of choice for drunks and stoners... I sample all FIVE of Jack's "Munchie Meals."   And I live to write about it!

Big Daddy Burger Challenge:  I'm an invited participant in the "Big Daddy Burger Challenge" broadcast on live Sacamento television.  Thanks to my friends at Rivers Edge Cafe and Good Day Sacramento.

Lockeford Meat and Sausage:  Features a truly amazing variety of sausage, made in their factory, behind the sales counter.  Over 30 varieties of sausage, freshly made, in-house!  Best sausage I've ever eaten...

Bun Boy Motel:  Forsaken by the interstate and almost forgotten, Bun Boy Motel, in Baker,  offers comfortable beds, quiet rooms, and a chance to have a close encounter with a rattlesnake or two.

Astro Budget Motel:  Located near the center of Barstow, across from a major shopping center, this inexpensive motel is close to everything, and offers lightning-fast Internet service.

Roy's Café:  Located in the Mojave Desert ghost town of Amboy, Roy's offers little in the way of dining, but lots of history about the glory days of Route 66.

Ludlow Motel:  The only motel in town, it offers a gateway into the dining scene of Ludlow, and a clean, comfortable place to stay.
