Lincoln Wine Fest 2024! Hosted by the Rotary Club of Lincoln, CA, held in downtown Lincoln, and featuring wines and beer from Placer County. All you can drink beer and wine, along with small bites of food. What more could you ask for? As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences. Photo: Here's the poster for the event, as posted on social media and the event's website. When I saw this posting back in February, I immediately signed up to attend, as this is the kind of venue that I simply adore. Photo: It's 12:30 in the afternoon, April 27, 2024, and it's time for the V.I.P. line to open for the Lincoln Wine Festival 2024. The line looks long but it moved quickly, as I had my wrist band - you must be 21 or older to attend this event - in place in less than five minutes, and I was in business to enjoy all the festivities the event had to offer. Today was my first time at this fine event, and I went V.I.P. which got me in a half hour earlier and a fancy plate that I only used once. In the future, I truly believe that I'll simply be a "general person." Photo: My first stop was at Secret Ravine Winery, who had convienietly set up shop near registration, and worked out to be the perfect first stop on today's wine tasting adventure. Photo: At 12;30 on this beautiful Saturday afternoon, a glass of chardanay wine seems to be a great way to start the afternoon. Photo: I toast the fine staff of Secret Ravine Winery, and the Lincoln Wine Fest 2024, with a glass of chardonay. Secret Ravine Winery Photo: Next stop was Satticus Cellars with their wine booth, located in Beermann Plaza in downtown Lincoln, CA. Photo: The friendly winemaster gives me a generous pour of chardenay wine. Photo: I toast Satticus Cellar, and the winefest! After searching on the web, I couldn't find much about this Placer County winery, as they seem to be hidden from most websites. Satticus Cellars Photo: Old Town Pizza, located in downtown Lincoln, set up a booth behind their restaurant, and was serving pizza for all to enjoy. Photo: Today's menu is posted outside the pop up restaurant, located in back of the brick and mortar location in downtown Lincoln. Photo: Friendly Jess serves me my fist slice of pizza. Photo: I'm a happy guy, as I'm going to Hawaii without leaving Lincoln, thanks to Old Town Pizza and the amazing slice of "Lincoln Luau" pizza. Photo: One slice of "Lincoln Luau" pizza. Like all pizzas at Old Town Pizza, this slice of pizza started with a perfectly baked pizza crust, just the way you love it, pizza sauce and lots of melted, delicious cheese. Oh yes! Maybe the best pizza in Lincoln? Toppings included grilled pineapple, Canadian bacon and... surprise... cashew nuts! Such a great slice of pizza! Photo: My second slice of pizza was the "Fajita" pizza. How about this... pizza topped with refried beans, taco sauce, both Cheddar and Mozzarella cheese, red and green bell peppers and topped with cilantro. How many ways can you say DELICIOUS? Photo: Two slices of "Steam Engine" pizza. After the delicious pizza crust, along with the cheese, this pizza included sausage, jalapeno pepper slices, tomato, onion and more. Such a great pizza in every way! Photo: My friendly hostess, Heather, serves me a generous slice of "Pepperoni Pizza" from Old Town Pizza, located in downtown Lincoln, CA. Heather, along with other staff members, served me with a smile and offered amazingly friendly service. Photo: My friendly hostess, Heather, generously served me two slices of "Pepperoni Pizza," which makes for some of the best pizza to enjoy in downtown Lincoln. Old Town Pizza Photo: At the corner of Lincoln Blvd. - formerly CA State Highway 65 - and 5th Street, it's a beautiful Saturday afternoon, anyway you look at it. Photo: Smokin' Barrel Winery set up shop at the corner of Lincoln Blvd. and 5th Street, and offered their amazing wine for all who were enjoying today's event. Photo: The friendly hostesses pour all-you-can drink wine at this fun event in Placer County. Photo: Chardonay wine and waffles... does it get any better? Photo: My hostess pours a glass of chardonay wine to a fellow diner. Photo: Cheers! I toast my host of Smokin' Barrel Winery, along with Waffle Shop as I enjoy a superior glass of rose wine. Smokin' Barrel Winery Photo: Waffle Shop, which is located on the corner was happy to provide samples of their delicious waffles with maple syrup on the side. This gal really knows how to bring out waffles in style to feed the crowd! Photo: One quarter of a waffle, along with a cup of maple syrup made for a delightful addition to the fine wine tasting this fine event had to offer. Waffle Shop Photo: Lincoln Blvd. and "5th" Street on this early Saturday afternoon... Lincoln, CA is truly a great place to enjoy and to be part of the welcoming community. I have nothing but great things to say about Lincoln and Placer County. Photo: Caste Al Vino was one of the major stops, as they set up shop inside of Sierra Hills Framing, a local Lincoln business. Photo: My first pour from Cante Al Vino... a glass of chilled chardonay wine, just like it should be. Photo: The winery set up quite an impressive booth inside and was offering amazing wine during the event. Photo: One more pour of chardonay wine from this amazingly friendly lady. Cante Al Vino, located in Rocklin, produces some of the best wine that you can imagine. Western Placer County is a paradise for wine, as the rolling hills and the mild climate make for an ideal climate for wine. Unlike the industrialized, busy climate of the Napa Valley, Placer County is relaxed, friendly and doesn't cater the "city crowd" of wine enthusiasts. Photo: I'm a happy guy, as I toast Cante Al Vino and the Lincoln Wine Festival 2024 with a glass of chilled chardonay wine! Life doesn't get any better. Cante Al Vino Photo: Looking south on Lincoln Blvd. on this mid Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2024. Ten years ago, this street used to be California State Highway 65, which cut through town, and was a traffic nightmare. Thank goodness the freeway has skirted town, and now downtown Lincoln enjoys the small town atmosphere that it embraces. Photo: Photo: How about a glass of red wine, at Dora Dain Wines, located in Lincoln, CA. My friendly hostess poured me a shot of "Viognier," which worked out perfect for this Saturday afternoon. Photo: I toast Dora Dain Wines and the Lincoln Wine Festival 2024, with a glass or red wine. Photo: As I was leaving, I toasted my glass of wine to these friendly gentlemen, who suggested that I should stay and enjoy a second... or a fifth glass of wine. I toasted them and I took their suggestion to heart. These friendly gentlemen certainly know how to make people welcome to the event. Dora Dain Wines Photo: Crazy way to enjoy the afternoon, as you can hardly tell the two folks sitting on the bench from the young guy in the mural, which is painted on the wall. Downtown Lincoln offers many benches, where it is pleasant to relax, and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Photo: It's great to enjoy this beautiful afternoon in late April in downtown Lincoln, CA. Photo: Good times on this Saturday afternoon in downtown Lincoln, CA. Photo: Time to enjoy a cranberry mimosa at Mosa Mimosa, which has set up shop in downtown Lincoln. "Tip and Tap..." that's the way it is on this beautiful afternoon in late April. Photo: The friendly bartender greats a diner, and let's him what's on tap. What's on tap? All choices worked out to be great! Photo: Along with the choices of mimosas on the table, Mosa Mimosa offered some of the best small bite's for today's festivity. Salamie appetizers, small meat balls and cubed Cheddar cheese... what could be a better dish to pare with a great mimosa? Photo: Salame, green olive and a cube of cheese make for amazing appetisers. Photo: Salame, green olives, cheese and small meatballs... Such great dining at Mosa Mimosa! Mosa Mimosa Photo: Tatoo time, as this young lady was getting a tattoo on her ankle, and getting photographed at the same time. Photo: Text messaging seems to be more interesting than getting a new tattoo, as this gal seems to be nonplussed as she endures the needles any way you look at it. Yikes! I'm scared of needles! I'm glad she's getting a tattoo instead of me... Photo: Happy Dayz Vineyard set up shop next to Old Town Pizza and poured great wine! The winery is located in nearby Penryn, in the heart of the Placer County wine country. Photo: Rick and Jacque have set up their pop up wine booth and are offering amazing wine on this Saturday afternoon in late April. Photo: Rick pours me a glass of merlot wine. Photo: I enjoy a second pour of merlot wine from Jacque at the Lincoln Wine Festival 2024. Photo: Cheers! I enjoy a glass of merlot wine from Happy Dayz Vineyard, and a slice of pizza from Old Town Pizza at the Lincoln Wine Festival 2024. If you're a "foodie," this is an event that you don't want to miss! Happy Dayz Vineyard Photo: Last stop today was Dueling Dogs Brewing Company, which offered BEER at today's wine tasting event. I like wine, but I LOVE beer! Dueling Dogs Brewery is a local Lincoln micro brewery. Photo: My first pour of a local Lincoln-brewed "Dog Haze of Summer" west coast IPA. Great beer! Photo: My second pour of west coast I.P.A. beer was delivered to me with a friendly smile. Photo: I toast the friendly staff at Dueling Dogs Brewing Company, along with the Lincoln Wine Festival, 2024. Dueling Dogs Brewing Co. Such an amazing wine and "foodie" event! I wasn't able to post all of the wineries and restaurants that I enjoyed on this event, as there were simply too many! I'm only a single "foodie" and I can only do so much. But if you're a "foodie" this is an event in western Placer County that you simply don't want to miss! The Rotary Club of Lincoln along with the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln hosted quite a wine and "foodie" event on this Saturday afternoon in late April, centered around Beermann Plaza, in the heart of downtown Lincoln, CA. This is an event for all "foodies" and wine lovers to join and enjoy! Rotary Club of Lincoln Copyright(c) 2024 eRench Productions. All rights reserved. We've been on the web since December 22, 2002.
