Food and Dining... cooking at home, while camping or on the go.  Dining in restaurants... Roseville, the Gold Country and other fine dining.  You'll find a little bit of everything here when it comes to food!

Sirloin Tip Steak:  Sirloin steak grilled to perfection, along with potatoes, tomatilos, onion and a jalapino pepper.

Grilled Pizza:  Homemade pizza is grilled, using oak wood, for great smokey taste.  Lucky me, I had extra room on the grill for sausage, potatoes and more.

Tacos de Tripas:  Just like on the streets of Mexico, I grilled trip tacos using my tricked-out Weber "Smokey Joe" grill.  I used locally grown and gathered Placer County oak wood for fuel.

Pork Ribs and Potatoes:  Grilling session featuring pork ribs, Russet potato, Mexican corn, mushrooms along with a jalapeno pepper.  Grilled over oak wood at home in Roseville.

Grilled Wild Alaskan Salmon:  Valentine's Day 2025 dinner!  Grilled salmon, twiced-baked potatoes, green squash and cabbage.

Fish Chowder:  Wild Alaskan salmon makes for a delicious pot of fish chowder!  Just the thing for a chilly Friday evening in early February.

Grilled Lamb Shank:  Lamb shank, grilled over oak, along with potatoes, made for a delicious dinner in late January, 2025.

Mexican Pizza:  Pizza, Mexican style, grilled using oak wood, on my Weber "Smokey Joe" grill, makes a fine Saturday evening dinner in mid January 2025.

Fish and Chips:  I used wild-caught Alaskan salmon, along with Russet potatoes and a homemade beer batter to deep fry a delicious dinner of California-style fish and chips.

Fried Salmon and Stir Fry Veggies:  Alaskan samon, fried in my electric wok, along with stir fry veggies, using homemade sauce, with mashed potatoes on the side.

Grilled Pork and Potatoes:  Oak wood makes for good smoke, and pork, potatoes, corn, tomato and a jalapeno pepper make for great grilling!

Onion Soup:  Fresh white and red onions, potataos, celary, chicken broth and a little technique make for a delicious vegetable soup.

Menudo:  Home made menudo, using local ingredients... Northern Mexico meets Placer County at my place for an amazing dinner.

Pork and Potatoes:  Grilling using locally gathered oak wood makes the grilling great!  Pork ribs, Russet potatoes, fresh corn on the cob, onion and jalapeno pepper... grilling is great in Roseville!

Jalapeno Poppers and Bratwurst:  During a camping trip to Mariposa County, we grilled Jalapeno Poppers and Bratwurst sausage, using homemade charcoal, from locally grown oak wood.
