Here's today's riddle: What do you get when you combine chicken and a huge waffle cone?  The answer to the riddle is a "waffle cone," which is a delicious and unique way to enjoy chicken in a HUGE cone made of waffle batter, with lots of maple syrup flavor.  You'll find this fine  and unique cuisine at Cluck N Cone, located in Roseville, CA.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's 11 o'clock in the morning, December 08, 2022, and I've arrived to "open up" Cluck N Cone, which is located Stone Point Center, in Roseville, CA.  Stone Point Center is a cluster of mostly restaurants, arranged around a courtyard, and offers everything in the way of fine dining, for every taste.  Brickyard Restaurant, which I visited earler this year, is located just across the court from Cluck N Cone.

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the long counter, the menu board, and the open kitchen, where you can watch the friendly staff prepare your meal.

Photo:  "Clucky" is the mascot of the restaurant, and the decor features several paintings of him in various endeavours, including playing a rock guitar.  As the poster says, "He'll work for cones."  The owner of the restaurant is thinking of asking patrons to come up with a different name and perhaps offering a reward for the final name chosen.

The restaurant is "dog-friendly" and even offers a small selection of entrees for your favorite furry companion.

Photo:  The dining room is quite compact and shares space with the large counter and kitchen, with all furniture being tables and chairs.  It's sparsely decorated, but tasteful, and spotlessly clean, and the dining is very comfortable.  It's December the 8th, and it's getting close to Christmas, so the dining room was decorated for the season, and Christmas music was being played in the background.

Photo:  Cluck N Cone is famous and proud of the signature mural they post on the front wall, and encourage patrons to snap "selfies" beside it.  In my case... I forgot to do that, as I was too busy taking photos and enjoying my "Aloha OG."  As an aside, the talented owner of the restaurant, Lauren, came up with all of the artwork.

Photo:  The menu is very compact and specializes in "waffle cones" but offers sides, combos and other choices. There are many additional options not listed on the menu, so if there's something you don't see, simply ask the friendly staff.  But one thing on the menu in common:  Chicken.

You make your selection from the menu, pay for it, and give the staff member your name, and when your order is ready, you pick it up at the "pick-up" station, a little bit to the left.

Photo:  After you place your order, you can watch the talented staff grill waffles on the waffle iron, shape them into cones, and place them into small paper cones, ready to make the next treat from the menu. The waffle batter is an amazing recipe the owner of the restaurant came up with, and, naturally, it's proprietary, but can say, from taste, ther is a lot of maple syrup in the waffle cone batter, which makes for delicious flavor.

Photo:  "Cluck N Bacon," which is the bacon served in the restaurant in many of their cones.  It's smoked over applewood for 5 hours, and then added a brown sugar run, a "special recipe," and then baked for thirty minutes or so.  The owner of the restaurant, Lauren, graciously gave me a piece to try, and all I can say is this bacon is AMAZING!

Photo:  The veggies, sauces and condiments are arranged in stainless steel containers and make it easy  for the kitchen staff to assemble your cone.  Each selection has a card that describes the selection, but if want to know more, simply ask the friendly staff, as they strive to offer superior service.

The fries, either in the waffle or curly variety, along with the chicken tenders are deep-fried when you place your order, so your chicken and your fries are always hot and fresh.

Photo:  "Waffle cones" are pre-made and placed vertically, and ready for lunch.  All selections from the "Waffle Cones" section of the menu share the same delicious waffle cones.

Photo:  At the cashier's station, you get a great view into the open kitchen and the talented staff working their magic.

Photo:  Emma has finished deep frying my "Waffle Fries" and now she's putting them into the large paper cone, along with the vertical, which will make for great eating and a stunning presentation.

Photo: Talented chef Emma puts the final touch on my "Aloha OG" by drizzling Sweet Baby Ray's teriyaki sauce to finish my delicious entree.  I absolutely love the open kitchen, where you can watch the staff prepare your meal.  At Cluck N Cone, you're guaranteed fresh, quality food, prepared by talented staff.

Photo:  Meet Emma, the chef who prepared my "waffle fries," along with my "Aloha OG" cone, who presented them to me at the counter with a smile.  Not only is she super-friendly, but she has talent, and can run the entire restaurant by herself.

Cluck N Cone isn't a "fast food" restaurant, as everything is prepared from fresh ingredients, as you want, as nothing - with the exception of the waffle cones - is prepared in advance.  You'll be treated to delicious, cuisine, made as you watch the talented staff prepare your meal, in the open kitchen.  That being said, my amazing lunch was presented to me in about 15 minutes.

Photo:  Meet Lauren, the amazingly friendly owner of the restaurant, who serves unique and delicious cones with the help of her two daughters.  She delivered my "Aloha OG" to me with a very gracious smile.

Lauren is a professional chef who hails from the Seattle area, and she mentioned that she was looking for something different, so she spent some time working on the recipe for the "waffle cone," along with all of the other selections on the menu.  This lady is a chef with amazing talent!

Photo:  I give a "thumbs up" to Cluck N Cone, as my "waffle cone" of "Aloha OG" will be amazing, along with my order of "waffle fries."

Photo:  At the top of the menu, I went with "Aloha OG," along with a medium side of "Waffle Fries."  How can you enjoy a "waffle cone" without a side of fries?  The menu gives you the choice between "waffle" or "curly" fries, and I went with the "waffle" variety.

The menu describes the "Aloha OG," as, "Cone, color cabbage, waffle fried chicken, diced sauteed pineapple, Sweet Baby Ray's teriyaki sauce, black and white sesame seed, sliced green onions and crispy shallots."  You get to choose between deep fried or grilled chicken, and went the "healthy" route and chose to have my chicken nuggets deep fried.  How could I resist deep fry?

It goes without saying that Cluck N Cone uses only premium, fresh ingredients for their delicious cones and everything else listed on the menu, along with all veggies and condiments.

All "waffle cones," which is the specialty of the restaurant, are made, in-house, from scratch, from a "confidential" recipe the owner came up with, but they all use butter, real sugar, and a lot more.  The batter is poured from a bowl onto a waffle iron, and then the waffle is done, it's removed from the iron, molded into the shape of a giant ice cream cone, wrapped with paper, and placed into a vertical rack, ready to fill.  All of the "waffle cones" on the menu share the same cone.  The recipe may be "confidential," but I tasted a whole lot of maple syrup... mmmmmm... so good!

Emma went to work on the chicken tenders, which are the heart of the "Aloha OG" cone.  My choice was to have my chicken deep fried, and the tenders were seasoned, breaded and deep fried to perfection.  I noticed she was "multi-tasking" as the waffle fries seemed to be deep frying pretty much in synch with the chicken tenders.

When the tenders were finished, she filled the pre-made waffle cone with all the goodies the "Aloha OG" as to offer, and topped it off with a miniature paper parasol to add to the stunning presentation.  She timed it out so the "waffle fries" and the "Aloha OG" cone were ready at the same time, so both were hot and delicious.  Last, but not the least, the cone was drizzled with Sweet Baby Ray's teriyaki sauce, and presented to me with a smile.

Like the "Aloha OG," the fries were served vertically, which made for a stunning presentation.  The fries weren't served in a "waffle cone" and arrived in a large paper cone.  Emma asked if I wanted any sauce for my fries, as I requested "Ranch" but I was also rewarded with "Cluck N Sauce," a proprietary sauce that is so similar to "Thousand Island Dressing" that I couldn't tell the difference.  Both sauces were served in small plastic cups and proved to be super-delicious.

I must admit that I've never enjoyed a chicken "waffle cone" during my countless Placer County dining experiences, or any other restaurant that I've ever visited.  Cluck N Cone has definitely carved out a "niche" on Eureka Road, in Roseville, and maybe all of northern California.

Photo:  My "Aloha OG" cone, complete with all the goodies... may I say "Hello delicious?"  Simply a "work of art..."

The "waffle cone" was light, crispy, very thin, but it held together well.  I started at the top with a fork, and worked my way down to the middle and finished it off like a giant ice cream cone.  In the cone, you could definitely taste the maple syrup goodness.

The five or six chicken tenders - Cluck N Cone doesn't skimp on potion size - were simply amazing, as the burst with flavor, and were seasoned, tender, juicy and perfectly deep fried the just the perfect light golden brown.  I was amazed at how the chicken was mixed perfectly with the cabbage, and topped off with the pineapple, sesame seeds, green onions and shallots.  The drizzle of teriyaki sauce added the final touch to this goodness.  Yes, it's sweet, but thank you... honey.  The little parasol topped off the dish for a stunning presentation.

My "Aloha OG" cone was like nothing I've ever even imagined or seen... with every bite I could taste all of the amazing flavors mingling together to make for an amazing dining experience.  Wow!

Photo:  My medium side of "Waffle Fries" arrived in a large, paper cone, and vertical, which made for easy eating and a stunning presentation.  The "Ranch" and house-made "Cluck N Sauce" made for fantastic dipping.  You can't go wrong with these fries as they're the best you'll ever enjoy!

The fries were cut medium-thick, resembled small waffles, seasoned, lightly battered, and deep fried to a perfect, medium-golden brown.  They were crunchy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside, which made for perfect fries.  They were salted, but not "overly salted," the way you find at national "fast food" chains."  Perhaps these were the best "waffle fries" that I've ever had the had the pleasure to enjoy in my years of dining?  Perhaps...

The "Chicken Cones" served at Cluck N Cone are simply delicious, and like nothing else you've ever enjoyed, or seen, anywhere else.  For a unique and amazing dining experience, pay a visit to Cluck N Cone in Roseville.  You'll love this fine restaurant!
