Because Yuma is close to the Mexican border - Yuma is one of my favorite places in the world - the city offers an intoxicating mixture of cuisine the defies any international boundary, and favors the best food fusion from both sides of the international border.  Duron's El Zarape Grill truly combines fine cuisine from both sides of the border, and provides a delicious breakfast.

Photo:  Duron's El Zarape Grill, on Sunday morning, April 27, 2014.  It's early in the morning - 0730 - and it seems the front door is being repaired before the breakfast crowd arrives, after Sunday mass. Duron's features lots of parking, and the parking is easy, free and safe.

Photo:  The dining room is divided into two sections by a low partition, and since I "opened up the restaurant" I was the only patron on this Sunday morning.  The kitchen and cashier's station is to the far right of the photo.  I was seated at the table shown in the lower left corner of the photo.

Photo:  Huevos Rancheros seemed like the perfect breakfast on this beautiful Sunday morning, and my friendly server, Amanda, poses with my wonderful breakfast.  More comments on the Huevos Rancheros in another photo.

Photo:  My photos always seem to generate curiosity.  Owner Frank Duron came out from the kitchen - he was performing cooking duties today - and introduced himself to me, and wanted to chat with me, since I was taking photos, and had told Amanda that I was planning to a write-up on this wonderful restaurant.  Frank told me that he is a native of neighboring San Luis, Sonora, Mexico - click on the link to view my visits to Sonora - he and I chatted about food, restaurants and local history.  Frank is a very friendly guy, a history buff, and we had quite a chat about local history.  Frank and I have a lot in common, as we're both history buffs, and "foodies."

Photo:  Thanks, Amanda, for taking my photo, as I pose with my delicious breakfast, served at Duron's El Zarape Grill, in Yuma, Arizona.

Photo:  You asked for it, and now you have it... Huevos Rancheros, served in fine style.  At El Zarape, the breakfast menu states, "Each full breakfast is served generously with either potatoes and beans, or hashbrowns and toast." Either choice is good, but I'm in Yuma, so it's potatoes and beans, hands down!  Toast... what's that?  I prefer corn tortillas!  Wonderful Huevos Rancheros, perfect sauce, eggs cooked perfectly, TWO varieties of salsa, corn tortillas toasted to perfection, and a bottomless cup of some of the best coffee in Yuma!  Duron's El Zarape Grill serves a delicious breakfast.

It would be difficult to find a better breakfast in Yuma, or anywhere, than the breakfast served at Duron's El Zarape Grill.  The food is delicious, there is a lot of it, and the staff treats you like family.  Look no further than Duron's El Zarape Grill for a wonderful breakfast when you're visiting Yuma, Arizona.
