Lincoln Wine Fest 2026! Hosted by the Rotary Club of Lincoln, CA, held in downtown Lincoln, and featuring wines and beer from Placer County. Samples beer and wine from Placer County wineries and breweries, along with small bites of food, while strolling the streets of charming downtown Lincoln. This event was everything a "foodie" could hope for... only slightly dampered by the chilly weather. What's a little weather to worry about when you're enjoying beer, wine, food and great company! As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences. Photo: Lincoln Wine Fest 2026 was a fundraiser sponsored by the Rotary Club of Linclon, and all of the helpful staff were Rotary Club volunteers. The friendly and helpful staff helped make the event run smoothly, and to make it enjoyable. When you checked into registration, you received a wine glass, a lanyard to wear it around your neck, and a wristband as proof that you're 21 or older. Then, for the next four hours, you were free to wander downtown Lincoln, CA, in the vicinity of Beernann Plaza to sample wine, craft beer and small bites. The food, wine and beer are all Placer County local. You'd always look for a sign like this, as it would tell you a food or drink venue was located inside. This event was a bargain, as it only cost $60.00 for four hours of wine, beer and food sampling, along with live entertainment from a couple of bands and various local musicians. For those of us who live in western Placer County, we're fortunate as there is always something fun to do, especially if you're a "foodie." Photo: Just outside of Beermann Plaza, the Soroptimist International of Lincoln set up a background, perfect for photos. Photo: Happy Dayz Vineyard, a husband and wife team, set up shop in the plaza and was handing out samples of their fine wine. Photo: I chose a sample of "Petite Sirah 2022" as the friendly host and I toast the vineyard, and the fun event. Photo: I'm happy with my pour of "Petite Sirah 2022," which was a smooth, mellow wine, with just enough of a "smoky oak" taste to make it interesting and delicious. Happy Dayz Vineyard is a local winery, located in Penryn, which is about halfway between Roseville and Auburn. Happy Dayz Vineyard Photo: These two friendly ladies were pouring wine from Ciotti Cellars, a Lincoln-local winery. Placer County is known for it's fine wine, along with a very laid-back and friendly atmosphere, which you won't find over on the coast in the Napa Valley wine country. Photo: I enjoy a pour of "Ciotti Merlot 2021" which is a delicious, full-bodied red wine. Merlot has to be one of my favorite varieties of wine. Photo: I raise my glass of "Merlot" and toast the friendly ladies of Ciotti Cellars, and the staff of Lincoln Wine Fest 2026. Ciotti Cellars Photo: Renegade Creek, a local band, set up on the stage in Beermann Plaza, directly in front of the museum, and played a mix of country, folk and classic rock music for much of the afternoon. If you're interested in booking them for an event, give them a call at 916 765-9100. Photo: Manny's BBW Hot Dawgs set up their pop-up restaurant in Beermann Plaza and was serving a small version of their bacon-wrapped "Manny Dawg." You can find Manny set up at various special events all around western Placer County. Photo: Chef Manny prepared me a small version of his delicious "Manny Dawg" with a smile. Manny is a great guy and a talented chef. If you like what you see, check the complete article I've published about my visits to Manny's BBW Hot Dawgs by clicking on the hyperlink. Photo: I'm a happy guy, as I'm ready to enjoy my "small bite Manny Dawg." Manny's proved very popular, as there was a line of diners waiting to enjoy his fine cuisine. I hope that everybody attending the event got to sample one of his dawgs. Photo: Manny's contribution to the "small bites" of today's event was a small hot dog, about half the size of their standard "Manny Dawg." You enjoyed a meaty hot dog, wrapped in bacon, grilled peppers and onion, along with a garnish of mustard and mayonnaise. You also will enjoy Manny's signature of a small grilled jalapeno pepper. This is a Mexican-style hot dog and similar to hot dogs you'll enjoy when you visit any Mexican city, town or pueblo. Such a delicious hot dog! Manny's BBW Hot Dawgs was a crowd pleasure! Manny's BBW Hot Dawgs Photo: It was time to switch gears and enjoy a pour of "Lazy Dog" IPA from Dueling Dogs Brewing Co., a local Lincoln microbrewery. They're noted for "farm crafted" beer on top, and their taproom serves pizza, baked in a wood fired oven. Photo: I love beer, and there is nothing better than a locally brewed IPA! Photo: My pour of "Lucky Dog" IPA, thanks to Dueling Dogs Brewing Company, located in Lincoln, CA. Their IPA was delicious! Dueling Dogs Brewing Co. Photo: Le Casque Wines, a local winery located in the Sierra Nevada foothills in nearby Looms was pouring samples of some of the fine wine they produce, including my choice of "2024 Sauvignon Blanc." Photo: The friendly bartender pours my glass with a refreshing sample of their wine. Photo: I give a "thumbs up" to my sample of "2024 Sauvignon Blanc," provided by Le Casque Wines, located in nearby Loomis. Le Casque Wines Photo: Rappe Family Vineyards, local to nearby Auburn, was offering pours of several of the varieties of wine they produce. So many choices... it was hard to decide which one to choose! Photo: I went for a pour of "2023 Pinot Nor Lodi," which was a truly delicious, full-bodied red wine, poured by my friendly hostess. Such a smooth, delicious wine! Rappe Family Vineyards Photo: Meet Adam, a member of the Lincoln Rotary Club and one of the friendliest volunteers of the event. All event staff were volunteers and most were Rotary Club members. Photo: On "E" St., just east of Beermann Plaza, the street was blocked off to traffic, and was lined with local vendors, who had set up booths and were selling locally-produced crafts. I found this old school blacksmith interesting, as he had set up a working coal-fired blacksmith shop and was demonstrating how to craft tools. He didn't appear to be selling anything, as he appeared to be educational, and he attracted quite a crowd. Photo: Sixth Street was blocked off and closed to traffic, and seemed to be "beer can alley," as the street was lined with local microbreweries. I think I hit the jackpot! I like wine, but I LOVE beer! Placer County is heaven for lovers of microbrewies, as it's home to so many that I've lost count. In Lincoln alone there are at least six micro and craft breweries. Granite Bay Brewing Company, located in Roseville, was one of the microbrewies that set up shop on 6th Street, and was offering samples of one of their refreshing pilsner beers. Photo: I receive a salute of a "Poolside Pilsner" beer, and a slice of pizza from the friendly crew of Granite Bay Brewing Company. Photo: I toast the friendly staff of Granite Bay Brewing Company with a generous pour of their delicious "Poolside Pilsner," a refreshing, light pilsner beer. Cheers! Granite Bay Brewing Company Photo: Beauties and the beer... beauty on Lincoln Blvd. during the event. Photo: Goathouse Brewing, a local Lincoln craft brewery was offering two varieties of their amazing beer: "Nelson Lane Hazy IPA" and "Tranquillo Mexican Amber Lager." Such a difficult choice... I couldn't decide. So I took the easy way out and first went for an IPA and returned for a lager. The friendly staff was more than happy to provide a second pour, with a smile. Goathouse Brewing is a unique operation, as their microbrewery, along with their tasting room are co-located inside a wooden barn, on a ranch outside of Lincoln. The brewery gets it's name from the goats, as the ranch raises goats and there is a pen of tame goats behind the brewery that just love to be petted. On weekends, there is a ever-dynamic lineup of food trucks, so you can drink beer, enjoy some great cuisine, and pet the friendly goats. Photo: I'm in heaven, as I've received a generous pour of "Nelson Lane Hazy IPA" and I'm getting ready to go back for a pour of Mexican lager. Thank goodness my wife was picking me up after the event so I didn't have to worry about driving. Photo: Beauty in a glass... a generous pour of "Nelson Lane Hazy IPA," thanks to Goathouse Brewing, located in Lincoln, CA. Goathouse Brewing Photo: Tap Truck is a classic truck that's a bar on wheels, and serves mobile beverages at special events. They are a mobile bar service that will cater to your event. They were set up at 6th St. and Lincoln Blvd. and were serving two beer and a hard cider from their truck. Photo: The friendly bartender pours a customer a beer. Tap Truck is based out of Auburn, and caters to events all over western Placer County and the Sierra Nevada foothills. Photo: With a lager and an IPA to choose from, the choice was difficult, but the IPA won out! I toast the fine folks at Tap Truck with a delicious "Kabur" west coast IPA beer, which really fit the occasion. Tap Truck Photo: Looking up Lincoln Blvd. from 5th street. The Lincoln Wine Fest event draws people to downtown, and the local merchants love it, as the event generates lots of foot traffic. A few of the wineries set up shop inside of stores. Photo: Old Town Pizza set up a booth on 6th St., just behind their brick and mortar restaurant, and were handing out pizza slices, which turned out to be very popular. Photo: Heather and friend hand me a slice of "Conductor Pizza" with a friendly smile. Photo: I'm a happy guy, as I LOVE pizza, and you can't find better pizza in Lincoln than the delicious pies served at Old Town Pizza. The restaurant has a location in Roseville and another in nearby Auburn. Photo: My first helping of pizza was a generous slice of "Conductor Pizza." The menu describes this delicious pizza as, "Traditional sauce, three cheese blend, pepperoni, sausage, linguica and bacon." All the things I like on a fine pizza! Photo: Later in the day I returned to enjoy a slice of "Mini Pepperoni Pizza." The menu describes this pizza as, "Traditional sauce, three cheese blend and mini pepperoni." Like the "Conductor Pizza," this pizza was as good as it gets! Old Town Pizza
Photo: The Lincoln Saladworks store was offering "small bite" samples of a few varieties of the many delicious salads they offer. They had trays of small salads set out on a table, and you got to choose the one that looked good to you. They all looked delicious to me! Photo: Trays of salads set out, for the choosing. Now, which one do I choose? The Lincoln location is located in Sterling Plaza, and offers salads, melts, wraps and soup. Healthy and delicious! Photo: In the end, I went with a "Asian Crispy Chicken," as handed to me by the friendly hostess. Photo: "Asian Crispy Chicken," with Saladworks blend, sweet chili crispy chicken, mandarin oranges, sliced cucumber, matchstick carrots, edamame and crispy wonton strips. Amazing! This salad was quite different than the hot dogs, pizza and other goodies I was enjoying at the event. Photo: Another on of the Rotary Club of Lincoln volunteers on the sidewalk, inviting you to join in on the fun! Photo: These two charming ladies representing Smokin' Barrel Winery, located just outside of Lincoln, were pouring three varieties of their delicious wine. Photo: The friendly hostess pours a glass of "Sauv Blanc," while her friend enjoys a glass of "Rose." Photo: It doesn't get any better than to enjoy a delicious glass of "Rose" wine when you're in the company of a beautiful lady! Smokin' Barrel Winery, located in Lincoln, produces fine Placer County wine. Smokin' Barrel Winery Photo: Looking south on Lincoln Blvd towards 5th St. finds downtown a busy place on this Saturday afternoon. The weather started out cloudy, breezy with a chance of rain, but by mid afternoon it had pretty much cleared up, to make for a pleasant day to enjoy the event. Photo: This gentleman set up his keyboard and guitar outside of Beermann Plaza and was entertaining the event with traditional country music. Photo: For me, the last stop at today's event was Satticus Cellars, who was pouring both white and red wines, produced at their local winery. For some reason, their location isn't published on their website, and I neglected to ask the staff more about the winery. A fellow "foodie" enjoys a pour of white wine. Photo: I'm a gigantic fan of red wine, so my pour of choice today was "2021 Zinfandel," which was delicious! Photo: I toast he friendly staff at Satticus Cellars with a pour of "2021 Zinfandel" which added a robust taste to end today's event for me, as it was closing time. The four hours seemed to slip away in four minutes! Such a fun event! Satticus Cellars My thanks to the Rotary Club of Lincoln, the City of Lincoln and all of the great volunteers who made this fun event happen. I enjoyed today's event, and I'm already looking forward to next year's event, which will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2027. Cheers! Such an amazing wine and "foodie" event! I wasn't able to post all of the wineries and restaurants that I enjoyed on this event, as there were simply too many to sample in four hours! I'm only a single "foodie" and I can only do so much. But for all "foodies" and lovers of fine, fun dining, not to mention a great walking tour of downtown Lincoln, this is an event in western Placer County that you simply don't want to miss! Mark your calendars for the last Saturday in April, as this is an annual event for all "foodies," wine and beer lovers to enjoy! Cheers! Copyright(c) 2026 eRench Productions. All rights reserved.
