When you're attending a special event in western Placer County, what could be better than enjoying a delicious, grilled hot dog, prepared by friendly staff? OK... here's one better ... a bacon wrapped hot dog! Mannys BBW Dawgs, a pop up restaurant based in Lincoln, CA, serves amazing bacon wrapped hot dogs at special events, all over the greater Sacramento area. As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.
Photo: It's late Saturday morning, August 29, 2026 and I'm attending the 2025 edition of the Lincoln Wings and Wheels, an aviation and vintage auto event, held at the Lincoln Regional Airport, located in Lincoln, CA. The event featured a great lineup of food vendors, including Manny's BBW Dawgs, which is one of the newer pop up restaurants, serving Mexican-influenced hot dogs all over Placer County since 2024. Just in case you're wondering, the motto of the restaurant is "Best bacon wrapped hot dawgs," hence the "BBW" in the name of the restaurant. Airplanes, classic cars and trucks with bacon wrapped hot dogs... what could be better?
Photo: The menu is posted on the side of the tent, and includes a modest selection of hot dogs, along with a spicy hot dog sandwich, "The Bobbit." At first I was puzzled as how the name came about until I read the description, and then the pieces of the puzzle came together.
Photo: You make your selection from the menu, pay for it, and in return, you'll receive a little beeper gadget that will shake, rattle, flash and rock 'n roll when your order is ready. You return the pager to the window and you'll receive your order with a smile.

Photo: From the "top" of the menu, I went with a "Manny Dawg," which is the signature offering of the restaurant. The menu describes this fine dog as, "100% beef frank, bacon wrapped, grilled onions/bell peppers, diced tomato, mayo, ketchup, mustard, topped with a whole roasted jalapeño. How many ways can you say "Mexican style hot dog?" As I placed my order, I asked for "everything" in the line of toppings, but asked the staff to hold the ketchup. No problem, as Manny makes dogs your way! The "dawg" began with a jumbo sized, all-beef frank, most likely around a quarter pound, wrapped with a slice of bacon and grilled to perfection. The large sesame seed bun was sized perfectly to fit the frank, just small enough so both ends of the frank could peek out, let you know it was there, so you could fall in love at the first bite. The dog was placed on the bun, drizzled with mustard and mayonnaise, and covered with diced tomato, along with grilled orange, green and yellow bell peppers slices, along with strings of grilled onion. As a final touch, a roasted jalapeño chili pepper and a small decorative flag were placed on top of the dog. Oh my! It was love at first bite when I bit into this delicious "Manny Dawg" and the dog returned my love with an amazing burst of flavor to let me know what I was enjoying a quality hot dog, prepared by talented staff. The delicious, bacon wrapped frank worked great with the fresh bun, the mustard and mayo, along with the veggie toppings to make a delicious hot dog, somewhat similar to the hundreds of hot dogs that I've enjoyed during my many trips to Mexico. This isn't your "diner hot dog," as Manny creates delicious, Mexican-influenced hot dogs, that are unique and delicious. I must add the roasted jalapeño topping the dog adds a touch of class! I devoured every bite of this dog and I loved every bite!
Photo: Many's bacon wrapped hot dog was so colorful and pretty it almost seemed like a shame to bite into it. Well... almost! I did remove Manny's souvenir flag before I took my first bite. This bacon wrapped hot dog was simply scrumptious! The bacon wrapped hot dogs are out-of-this-world amazing, the staff is super friendly and the price is right. Manny's BBW Hot Dawgs makes any special event deliciously better with mouth-watering delicious bacon wrapped hot dogs, and more.
