Saturday, October 17, 2010, I had the opportunity to enjoy two delicious tacos de birria from Dos Hermanos Tacos, which is a small propane-fired food cart located at the corner of Av. Constitución and Calle 4, a.k.a., Díaz Moran, in downtown Tijuana. As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.
Photo: Dos Hermanos Tacos sells only two varieties of tacos: Birria and lengua. For me, not a problem, as I love birria and lengua, and I could spend the rest of my life eating nothing but birria and lengua tacos.
Photo: Dos Hermanos Tacos is operated by two guys, who are really brothers. The meat is prepared elsewhere, and is kept warm, simmering on a burner. Corn tortillas are placed on the griddle to cook, and when they're ready, they're taken off the griddle, placed on a sheet of paper, and then the meat and a helping of pinto beans are scooped on to the taco. Then condiments are applied... in my case, I opted for diced white onions and chopped cilantro, which are the perfect garnishes to compliment a couple of delicious tacos de birria.

Photo: Oh yes! I absolutely LOVE tacos served on the streets of downtown Tijuana, and Dos Hermanos Tacos serves delicious tacos de birria. Each taco uses two corn tortillas, lots of juicy birria, scooped from a big ol' pot simmering on a burner, a healthy scoop of pinto beans, and chopped onions an cilantro for garnish.
