As of this writing, Sisters Thai Kitchen is the latest Thai restaurant to open in Roseville, CA, and is the currently the only Thai restaurant located in west Roseville.  Since their opening in early September of this year, Sisters Thai Kitchen as acquired quite a reputation as a great place to dine, thanks to the delicious cuisine and the amazingly friendly service.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's 11:15 in the morning, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, and I've arrived at Sisters Thai Kitchen to "open up" the restaurant, and to enjoy some of the best Thai cuisine in Placer County.

Sisters is located in The Plaza Blue Oaks, which is relatively new - it began opening suites in June 2022 - strip mall, located on the west side of Roseville.  Sisters Thai Kitchen opened their door in early September of this year, and has become the "go-to" restaurant for fine Thai cuisine in west Roseville.  The plaza is anchored by Raley's O-N-E Market, which a fine place to shop for your groceries, enjoy their amazing restaurant/deli, along with their craft beer bar.

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the clean, spacious, comfortable and thoroughly modern decor. Dine-in, to-go, and online orders are offered, and you can even order and pay from your smartphone, using a computer station, located just inside the door.

The decor is quite sparse - I like it - and the dining room is decorated for Christmas, as the holiday is less than two weeks away!  Where is the customary portrait of the King of Thailand that nearly all Thai restaurant showcase?

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, to your left is the order counter/meet/greet station, where you'll be greeted by a friendly staff member, who will hand you a menu.  You make your selection from the menu, pay for it, and receive a number.  You pick out any open table, and when your order is ready, it will be brought to you by a friendly staff member.  If you prefer, you can order from a computerized station, complete with "QR Code."  Not me, as I prefer to order in person. I refer to this as the "taqueria format," as it is prevalent in many Mexican taquerias.

If you aren't familiar with Thai cuisine, just ask, and the friendly and knowledgeable staff will be glad to explain the various choices, what they're all about, and assist you to pick a selection which works for you.  If you need time to ponder the menu, simply take the menu to a table, look it over, and bring it to the order counter, and place your order.

Today's hostess, Julia, was truly a busy gal, as she was meeting and greeting customers, taking their orders, answering questions, and placing the orders at the kitchen window.  When orders were ready, she picked them up from the kitchen window and brought them to the tables, all with a friendly smile.  The dining room is well run, efficient, and offers a very friendly and inviting atmosphere.

Photo:  The section of the menu that features "Street Style Thai Food."  I'm an absolute sucker when it comes to any kind of street food.

Photo:  The dining room is quite spacious, roomy, and super clean.  If offers ample natural illumination from the floor-to-ceiling windows, and patio-style lights mounted on the ceiling.  Outside there is a cement pad that suggests patio dining my be arriving in the future.

Photo:  The window to the kitchen offers a glimpse into the kitchen, with the talented staff preparing delicious food. The view is slightly compromised by the plethora of Christmas stockings, but embrases the joy of the season.  Note the large rice pot to the right of the photo, which is a fixture of the restaurant, and always offers delicious white rice, cooked perfectly.

Photo:  Orders are placed at the ordering station using a computer, printed, and relayed to the kitchen by hanging the printed order outside the kitchen window.  This is sort of a 2023 version of the order wheel, found in most diners during the 1950's and 1960's.

Photo:  The condiment station is very sparse and simple, as it simply includes bottles of Huy Fong "Sriracha Sauce," soy sauce, salt and pepper, and small pots with various Thai sauces.

Photo:  Meet my amazingly friendly hostess, Julia, who brought my lunch to me with a smile, and provided outstanding service and pleasant conversation.  It was an honor to meet this fine lady.

Sisters Thai Kitchen isn't a "fast food" restaurant, as it's custom-order and sit-down in every way, but my lunch arrived quickly, about 20 minutes after I placed my order.  That's fast with quality!

Photo:  My lunch of "Moo Yang," which is Thai grilled pork, served with steamed rice, dipping sauce and steamed vegetables.  Just a minute or so later, my hostess brought a bowl of steamed rice from the ever-present rice cooker, located just outside the kitchen.

Photo:  I'm a happy guy, as I'm ready to enjoy an amazing lunch of "Moo Yang," along with a bowl of steamed rice. As delivered, the rice arrived after my plate, and in a separate bowl, but since there was ample room on my plate, I spooned the rice to my plate and added soy sauce.  Such a delicious lunch!

My only gripe - and it's very minor - is the restaurant is "dry," meaning no alcohol is served.  I should have asked the staff if future plans include serving beer and wine... that would be a good thing.  Today, I settled for a glass of ice water and saved a few bucks.

Photo:  From the "Street Style Thai Food" section of the menu, I went with "Moo Yang," which is Thai grilled pork, served with steamed rice, dipping sauce and steamed vegetables.

The menu describes this delicacy as, "Moo Yang... Thai herb marinated bone in pork chop from K&D Freitas Farms, in Wilton, CA, grilled and served with steamed vegetables and a house made dipping sauce."  Such an amazing lunch!

The showcase of the meal was a large, bone in pork chip, marinated in Thai herb seasoning, perfectly grilled, complete with attractive grill marks.  The meat was simply delicious, as it was juicy, tender, perfectly seasoned and fork-tender, so the knife was mostly window dressing.  The bone added amazing flavor and helped keep the pork chop moist and tender.  When you have a choice, take my recommendation and always go for bone-in, as the bone adds both amazing flavor and moisture. Such an amazing pork chop!  I cut the meat off the bone into bite-size pieces, and I requested a small box to bring the bone home with me, to enjoy in a future pot of soup.

The meat was locally-sourced from K&D Freitas Farms, in Wilton, CA., which is a know for "Farm to Fork" meat producer, offered in meat markets and local events throughout the greater Sacramento area.  They specialize in pork, and their product is distributed widely in Northern and Central California.

The steamed vegetables, carrot, broccoli and baby corn were fresh, steamed perfectly, and retained a bit of "snap" when I bit into them.  They made for a perfect side dish with the "Moo Yang."

After Julia brought my lunch to me, she asked if I would like a side of rice - naturally - so she scooped a large side of rice from the rice pot and brought it to my table.  I spooned it on my plate and added soy sauce, as it was simply plain white, steamed rice, and needed a bit of seasoning.  I toyed with adding some of the sauce from the condiment bar, but in the end, a few teaspoons of soy sauce worked out.

The "House Made Dipping" sauce seemed to be a honey-soy sauce, with ginger, sesame oil and spices.  It was simply delicious and made for great dipping, especially for the rice.  I don't know why I didn't request seconds??

My lunch of "Moo Yang" was simply delicious, as everything was fresh, perfectly prepared, and delightful to look at. The service provided by my hostess, Julia was superb, and the warm welcome I enjoyed by the owner, Lee was priceless.

You'll appreciate the spotlessly-clean and well-organized dining room, the delicious and authentic Thai cuisine, along with the super friendly service.

For "foodies" who love the exotic and delicious taste of Thailand, pay a visit to Sisters Thai Kitchen, located in The Plaza Blue Oaks, in west Roseville, CA.
