La Villa Mexican Food is a fairly recent addition to the Lincoln, CA Mexican dining scene, and is located in a small strip mall on the west end of town.  La Villa is open six days a week, and offers all of your Mexican favorites, including lunch specials at a very reasonable price.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's late in the morning, Thursday, April 09, 2026, and I've arrived at La Villa Mexican Food, located in Lincoln, CA to enjoy a great lunch.  That's my 2020 Toyota Tacoma truck parked in front of the restaurant, which serves me well.

Photo:  The main dining room is clean, comfortable, and features quite standard Mexican decor.  La Villa is a full-service restaurant, but if you choose, you can order at the counter.  The only oddity is that you pay for your order after you place it.  There is a tip jar on the counter to reward the friendly staff for their excellent service.

Photo:  As I placed my order, I took a peak over the counter into the kitchen, to watch the talented chef perform her magic.

Photo:  One small section from the "Lunch Menu" showing the "Daily Specials."  Since today was my first visit to this fine restaurant, I started at the top of the menu, and went for a #21.

Photo:  An added bonus is that a bowl of fresh tortilla chips, and a bowl of salsa are included with the meal, and it's on the house.  The corn tortilla chips were fresh, crispy and delicious, and the house salsa was tangy, flavorful and offered just enough "kick" to make it tasty and delicious.

Photo:  Meet Arturo, my amazingly friendly server who brought my lunch to me with a big smile.  Arturo is a great guy and treated my like family.

Photo:  I'm a happy guy as I toast my friendly host Arturo with a Pacifico beer, as I prepare to enjoy my delicious lunch at La Villa Mexican Food, located in Lincoln, CA.

Photo:  From the "Lunch Specials" of the menu, I went with #21, "Taco," with beef as my choice of protein.  Chicken is the other option.  As with all other selections on the "Lunch Specials" section, a Mexican rice, refried beans and a small side salad are included with the meal.  When you order the "Taco," you have your choice between a soft or a crispy taco.

The star of today's lunch was the taco, and I did something a little different, as I went with a crispy shell, as it seemed the right thing to do for a Thursday morning.

The taco included a moderate portion of seasoned, marinated beef, grilled to perfection, and melt-in-your-mouth tender and juicy.  Along with the beef, shredded lettuce and shredded cotija Mexican cheese filled the taco.  The crispy, deep fried corn tortilla held it all together and added a delicious "crunch."

The side of rice was your standard Mexican rice, delicious and filling, but unremarkable.  I liked the rice, but I loved the refried beans, as I'm truly a lover of beans of any variety, and refried beans are among my favorite.  The beans were mostly creamy, but there were enough coarsely chopped beans to add interest and texture.  The beans were sprinkled with a touch of shredded cotija cheese, which was melted perfectly.

The small side salad offered a crispy, refreshing contrast to the warm taco, rice and beans.  Fresh, shopped lettuce, tomato, onion, tomato and cilantro made the bulk of the salad, and it was topped with a guacamole and a dollop of sour cream.  Delicious!

The Pacifico beer was both part of my appetizer and my dessert.  Pacifico is one of my favorite Mexican beers!

Chips and house salsa for an appetizer, the beer, along with today's "Lunch Special," made for a delicious and satisfying lunch.  Oh... I might add that the service was amazingly fast, as Arturo brought my lunch to the table about ten minutes after I'd placed my order.  That's fast!

Photo:  I hold my crispy beef taco before I take my first bite, so I can see all of the goodness this fine taco has to offer.

The food is delicious, the dining room is comfortable and the service, thanks to super friendly Arturo is efficient and amazingly friendly.  When you dine at La Villa Mexican Food, you'll enjoy fine Mexican cuisine, and Arturo's friendly service, which makes for a winning combination.

See you for lunch at  La Villa Mexican Food, located on Joiner Pkwy., in Lincoln, CA.  Salud!
