Crooked Lane Brewing Company, located in Auburn, CA, is a microbrewery, but there is nothing "micro" when it comes to delicious beer they brew, along with the amazing food the compact kitchen offers for your dining pleasure.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's just past the 11:00 morning opening time on Saturday, February 21, 2026, and I've arrived at Crooked Lane Brewing Company, located in Auburn, CA to enjoy some great in-house brewed beer, and a pizza for lunch.

Photo:  The brewery and restaurant offers a comfortable patio, but on this chilly Saturday morning in late February, outdoor dining wasn't a great option.

Photo:  The dining room is spacious, and furnished with mostly high tables, which make for comfortable seating.  It's comfortable, friendly and inviting.

Photo:  The bar is well furnished, and offers in-house brewed beer on tap.  Television monitors were tuned to local news, and a baseball game.

Photo:  The beer menu is posted on the wall, behind the  bar.

Photo:  Here it is... "Oktoberfest Amber Lager..." brewed in-house, German style lager beer.  What more could you ask for?  I looked at the menu, but my eyes stopped on the "Oktoberfest Amber Lager," as German, along with Mexican lager is my favorite when it comes to beer.  Yes, I LOVE IPA when it comes down  to beer, but I can't resist a delicious amber lager, especially when it's brewed in-house, by skilled brewmasters.

Photo:  The food menu at Crooked Lane Brewing Company offers "pub style" food, skillfully prepared by the talented staff.  Pizza and beer worked perfectly together on this late Saturday morning.

Photo:  Meet Monte, the super friendly bartender who presented a pint of "Oktoberfest Amber Lager" with a smile.  This gentleman was friendly to chat with, and treated me like a rock star.

Photo:  Cheers!  I toast bartender Monte, Crooked Lane Brewing Company, along with all good things in the world!

Photo:  I'm enjoying a pint of "Oktoberfest Amber Pilsner" beer, which is one of the best beer brewed in Placer County.  Crooked Lane Brewing Company is a destination for "foodies" and lovers of superior beer.

Photo:  It's a beautiful late Saturday morning, as this gal enjoys a beer, and looks out towards Grass Valley Highway.

Photo:  Valentina brand Mexican hot sauce, along with chili pepper flakes, salt and pepper make great condiments.

Photo:  The brewery is visible as you sit at the bar.  If it's a working day, you can watch the staff brew your amazing beer.

On this late Saturday morning, it was a great day to sit at the bar, enjoy an amazing "Oktoberfest Amber Pilsner" beer, and chat with the friendly staff.

Photo:  The kitchen is compact and open, so you can see the talented staff prepare your meal.  It's located behind the bar, and you can watch the talented staff in action, as you sit at the bar, and enjoy some of the best beer that you'll enjoy in Auburn.

Photo:  Chef Frank slices my "Knoa" pizza.  The kitchen is compact, and it's located behind the bar, so you can watch the staff preparing your pizza.

Photo:  Meet Chef Frank, who baked a delicious wood-fired pizza, and delivered it to me with a friendly smile.  Both he and his co-worker Monte welcomed me, and treated me like a rock star.

Photo:  I'm a happy guy, as I toast Chef Fred, Crooked Lane Brewing Company, along with Placer County and Auburn, CA.

Photo:  From the "Pizza by Bella Familia" section of the menu, I went with a "Kona" pizza, which the menu describes as, "Pineapple, bacon, marinarta, Mozzarella cheese."  As the menu states, it's all wood-fired on a thin crust pizza.

I took a trip to Hawaii today at Auburn, thanks to the amazing, pizza with I enjoyed, with truly Hawaiian origins, thanks to the pineapple, bacon and marinarta along with the Mozzarella cheese.  Alright... Mozzarella cheese isn't exactly native to Hawaii, but it's great on pizza and works with some of the best pizza in Placer County.

The foundation of the pizza was a thin, perfectly baked pizza crust, in their oven, thanks to the talents of Chef Frank.  Marinatata sauce, diced pineapple, bacon, Mozzarella cheese... it all worked together on the crispy crust to make for an amazing pizza, with the flavor of Hawaii in Auburn. I didn't have to travel to Hawaii to enjoy delicious Hawaiian style pizza, as Chef Frank gave me the cuisine of Hawaii during my visit to Crooked Lane Brewing Company.

Marinatata sauce, diced pineapple, bacon, Mozzarella cheese topped the pizza, baked to perfection topped the crust, to make a delicious pizza.  As an aside, the pizza was "personal" size, and made for a very hearty lunch for me.  With a salad or something on the side, it could work for two diners.

Thin, crispy crust, perfect toppings, delicious, melted cheese... what much could you ask for in a simply delicious pizza?

Photo:  I pick up a slice of pizza and admire all of the goodness, including the crispy, thin crust, Mozzarella cheese, bacon, and cubed, fresh pineapple... Ah Hawaii!  This pizza was simply delicious, thanks to talented Chef Frank.

Photo:  I asked for a cup of ranch dressing for my dipping pleasure, and host Monte was more than happy to give me a cup - or two - for dipping.  Call me crazy, but I like to dip a slice of pizza into ranch for added pizza enjoyment.

Delicious pizza dipped into an amazing dressing... does life get any better?  Oh yes!  The  pint of "Oktoberfest Amber Lager" beer on the side made for the perfect appetizer... or perhaps dessert?

When you combine some of the best beer brewed locally in Placer County, great "pub dining" cuisine, along with some of the friendliest staff on the planet... you have Crooked Lane Brewing Company... The brewery, restaurant and staff makes for a winning combination, and a dining destination for "foodies" in the greater Sacramento area, and the surrounding Sierra Nevada foothills.  Cheers!
