Elk City, Oklahoma is right in the middle of "cowboy country" and the town is as "country" as the Midwest gets. The country begins and ends with good food, in the right restaurant, and if you're looking for a breakfast that's as good, and "country" as it gets, look no further than Cowboy Cafe, in Elk City, Oklahoma.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's a little after 7 in the morning on Thursday, September 18, 2018, and I'm at Cowboy Cafe, located along historic Route 66 in Elk City, OK, and I'm ready for breakfast.  As the sign says, "Breakfast All Day," so you know this restaurant is serious about breakfast.

Photo:  I entered the restaurant to a sparsely-seated dining room.  I suspect when the restaurant is busy that a meeter/greater would great me here, but since the restaurant wasn't busy, I simply seated myself at a booth, and was greeted by my friendly server within 30 seconds.

Photo:  On this sort of early Thursday morning, the dining room is lightly seated, which makes it a joy to take photos.  The dining room furniture is mostly booths, but there are tables, and it's clean and comfortable.

Photo:  Cowboy Cafe is dead-serious about breakfast, as breakfast is served anytime the restaurant is open.  This is only a portion of the wide array of breakfast options the menu offers.  After scanning the menu, I settled on "Polish Sausage and Two Eggs."  Note to California readers:  The menu prices are around 30% below of what you'd expect to pay in the "Golden State."

Photo:  Elk City is definitely located in the "Bible belt" as there are numerous western/Bible pictures or photos displayed in the dining room.  I really loved this pictures as Joshua 1:9 is one of my favorite verses from the Old Testament.

Photo:  My friendly, but camera shy hostess, Shannon, delivers my breakfast.  Shannon was very friendly, but when it came to a photo, she was not at home at all.

Photo:  Thanks, Shannon, for snapping my photo, as I prepare to enjoy a delicious breakfast at Cowboy Cafe, in Elk City, OK.

Photo:  My delicious breakfast that I enjoyed at Cowboy Cafe.  Eggs over easy, hashbrown potatoes - would be considered "home style" potatoes further west - Polish sausage, toast, and an optional side of gravy.  Such a delicious breakfast!

"Cowboy up," and enjoy an amazing breakfast at Cowboy Cafe, located in Elk City, Oklahoma.
