Breakfast in Moscow sounds exotic... doesn't it?  Today was the first time I'd ever been to Moscow and it was a city that I'd always wanted to visit, as I'd heard great things said about the city, and a few breakfast restaurants. Before you get the idea that I'm a world traveler, I didn't take a trip to Russia, but on my way through northern Idaho, I stopped to enjoy breakfast at The Breakfast Club, in Moscow, Idaho.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's almost hard to locate The Breakfast Club restaurant, as it's tucked in between a Chinese and a Mexican restaurant, underneath the shaded main street of Moscow, Idaho.  Downtown Moscow is beautiful, as it's clean, vibrant, picturesque, and offers many shade trees.

Photo:  It's just before 8 in the morning, Monday, August 21, 2017, and it's time for breakfast, and I've come to the right restaurant in downtown Moscow, Idaho.  The Breakfast Club is serious about breakfast, as they are open for breakfast and lunch only. As you walk in, you're greeted by the friendly cashier - who is answering the phone as her photo is taken - and you're invited to seat yourself.  The dining room is mostly composed of booths, and I have to admit that I was a little disappointed that the restaurant lacked a counter, as I really like to sit at the counter when I dine alone.

Photo:  The dining room almost resembles a brew pub, which is what I suppose you'd expect in a college town, like Moscow, Idaho.  The dining room is spacious, clean, and the staff and patrons are friendly.  On this Monday morning, the restaurant was lightly seated, with a mixture of senior citizens - like I am - local diners, and a surprisingly large dining pouulation of college students.  I was surprised, as I always assumed college students either couldn't afford dining in a restaurant for breakfast, would be attending classes on a Monday morning, or would be sleeping off the activities from the night before.

Photo:  Veronica, who seated me and took my order, catches up on paperwork.  If you look past her, you can see the chefs at work.  I love the "old school" blackboard above the kitchen.  The Breakfast Club is a mixture between "old school" breakfast diner, a college brew pub - sans the brew - and a contemporary restaurant.  It all works perfectly.

Photo:  The "Homestyle" portion of the breakfast menu.  Breakfast in Moscow was definitely a new thing for me, as there were several items on the menu that I'd never seen before, such as huckleberry or zuchinni bread.  I'm always great at enjoy new experiences, but I settled on "The Homestyle," which was the first item on the menu, and I never looked back. Oh yes, I opted for toast.

Photo:  Veronica took my order, but my order was brought to my table by Tianna, who served my breakfast with a smile.  She also kept my coffee cup filled, with a smile, naturally.

Photo:  Thanks, Tianna, for taking my photo, as I anticipate a delicious breakfast at The Breakfast Club, in Moscow, Idaho.

Photo:  I couldn't resist "The Homestyle," which is the first item on the breakfast menu.  One of the meat choices is German sausage, which seems to be popular in eastern Washington and northern Idaho, so, naturally, that was my choice of meat.  Hash brown potatoes, and two fried eggs, of course, along with sourdough toast.  I passed on the huckleberry or zuchinni bread in favor of sourdough toast, as my teeth aren't at all sweet, especially at breakfast. Such a delicious breakfast!

Photo:  German sausage, cooked perfectly, hash brown potatoes, and two eggs cooked over easy make a perfect breakfast.  As you can see in the photo, the meat was grilled, and had hatch-sear marks - yummy! - and the potatoes and eggs are cooked perfectly.  Such a great breakfast!

Now I hold bragging rights, as I can truly brag to anyone who'll listen that I've enjoyed "breakfast in Moscow." Seriously, The Breakfast Club dishes out a delicious breakfast in a comfortable dining room, served by friendly staff, in beautiful downtown Moscow, Idaho. When you're in Moscow, and you're in the mood for a wonderful breakfast, stop by The Breakfast Club and enjoy...
