Friday evening, October 15, 2010, I happened to be hiking in downtown Tijuana, Baja California, when I spied a small hot dog cart on the north east corner of Av. Constitución and Av. Flores Nagón.  If there's one thing that I can't resist when I'm in Tijuana, it's a hot dog, Tijuana style!

Photo:  This little hot dog and hamburger cart is typical of many small carts that abound during the evening hours in Tijuana's Zona Centro.  This enterprise is unnamed, but I'm calling it the Brother and Sister Hot Dog Cart, as it was staffed by a brother and sister, with mother sitting on a bench, behind me.  The hot dogs they sell are good, but quite basic.

Photo:  Sister was very shy, but brother was very talkative and outgoing, and, of course, asked my why I was taking photos, so I told him all about my web activities, and he said that he had been learning about the World Wide Web in school, and that his school was equipped with a computer lab, where they were learning about computers and the web.  Sister just shyly smiled while he was talking, but she gladly took my dollar when it was time to pay up.

Photo:  Brother and sister sell hot dogs for a dollar each, which is the typical price of a hot dog on the streets of downtown Tijuana.  Brother asked me what I wanted on my dog, so of course I replied "Con todo," so all included grilled onions, diced tomato, chopped white onions, mayonnaise, catsup and mustard.  The dog itself was grilled, and the bun was just a plain bun, the kind you purchase in a six-pack in the supermarket.  Unfortunately, the hot dog wasn't bacon wrapped, like most of the other hot dog vendors sell, but it was good, and it made me feel good to patronize these young people.
