Fifteen beers on tap... brewed in small batches... locally sourced ingredients... brewed in-house... thanks a talented and friendly brewmaster... Granite Bay Brewing Company is a true local, microbrewery, located in the Granite Bay district of Roseville, CA.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's a little past the 11:00 weekend opening time, Saturday, February 08, 2025 and I've arrived at Granite Bay Brewing Company to enjoy a couple pints of delicious, Placer County microbrew.

Granite Bay is an upscale, unincorporated community part of Roseville, CA, located east of Roseville proper, and stretches east out to the shores of Folsom Lake.

Photo:  As you enter the brewery, you'll notice the bar, with all 15 beers on tap.  You walk up to the bar, place your order, and the friendly bartender will pour your beer, direct from the tap.

The taproom is furnished with a long , high table in the center, surrounded by smaller, high tables.  The decor is comfortable, and both elegant and rustic.

The friendly owner, Carter, along with Cory enjoy a pour of their beer on this Saturday morning.  Talk about a "fringe benefit" of owning the brewery!

Photo:  The menu is posted on a video monitor above the bar, which makes for easy changes.  The menu is mostly static, but there are occasional changes.  The brewmaster knows not to dabble with perfection.

Photo:  Granite Bay Brewing Company is truly a micro brewery, as the brew operation is located in the back of the taproom.

Photo:  The dining room, looking toward the front door showing the long table in the center of the room.  There are several video monitors which were tuned to sports programs and 60's/70's pop music playing in the background. Such great atmosphere to enjoy a beer or two!

Photo:  The brewery has a small covered patio just outside the side door, which would be the perfect place to enjoy a beer or two when the weather is right.

Photo:  Carter waits on a customer who in purchasing a 4-pack of beer to go.  Take out four packs are kept in a cooler and ready for purchase.

Photo:  Carter pours my first beer, #9, "Good Company IPA," which is a classic West Coast IPA.

Photo:  Meet Carter, the super friendly owner of the brewery and chief brewmaster.  Carter and I share quite a few interests, including beer, food and airplanes.  He and I had quite a discussion about general aviation, which has always fascinated me.

Since today wasn't a "food truck day," Carter recommended that I visit nearby Los Zarapes Mexican Restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch.  I'm glad I did, as this fine restaurant might just be my "new" favorite Mexican restaurant in Roseville!

Photo:  I toast Granite Bay Brewing Company, along with owner and brewmaster Carter, and all that is good with Gold Country dining.  Cheers!

Photo:  My first pour was a pint of #9 from the menu, "Good Company IPA," which is a classic West Coast IPA.  Such a great way to get a late Saturday morning started the "west coast" way!

If you love the taste of hops, you'll love this beer, as with the first sip, I could taste the hops.  But... the hops wasn't overpowering, and the beer wasn't bitter, as it was simply well bodied, slightly, very slightly on the sweet side, and simply delicious.  You're talking about a great gold country beer!

Photo:  Number 19 on the menu, "Uno Mas," a classic Mexican lager beer, which was last on the menu, which is maybe how it got the name...

Classic, mellow, full-flavored Mexican lager beer, with much more flavor than your run-of-the-mill, mainstream, commercial American lager beers.  This beer was simply amazing, and when I closed my eyes, by taking a sip, I could imagine being in a Mexican cantina in Ensenada, as this fine beer tasted exactly like countless beers I've enjoyed during my many trips to Mexico.  Muy sabroso!

Brewmaster Carter knows how to brew exceptional beer, and how to treat guests like family, with welcoming conversation and a friendly smile.  The beer is cold and refreshingly delicious, the taproom is comfortable, and the atmosphere is friendly.

When you're in the mood for some of the best craft beer brewed locally in Placer County, look to Granite Bay Brewing Company, located on Auburn Folsom Rd, in the Granite Bay district of Roseville, CA.
