Every Sunday, weather permitting, from 09:00 in the morning until early afternoon, Boba and Bites sets up a small pop-up restaurant at Mahaney Park Farmers Market, in Roseville, CA and serves delicious Asian fusion cuisine.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's a little past 10:00 in the morning, Sunday, September 25, 2022, and I've arrived at Mahaney Park, located in Roseville, CA, to enjoy an amazing early lunch at Boba and Bites.  This fine pop-up restaurant sets up shop nearly every Sunday at the farmer's market, and offers a simple, delicious menu of Asian-inspired cuisine.

Photo:  Mahaney Park Farmers Market is held every Sunday - rain or shine - at Mahaney Park, located on Pleasant Grove Blvd., in Roseville, CA.  The market usually features around 50 different vendors, selling local produce, crafts, food, spices, sauces and more... and usually has a food truck and several "pop-up" restaurants.  Boba and Bites is present on most Sundays at the market.  Look to the left of the photo and you'll see Hula Dogs, who serves delicious Hawaiian-influenced hot dogs, where I've enjoyed delicious hot dogs made with Spam!

Photo:  There is a sign on the main promenade that points you to the restaurant, and posts the highlights of the menu.

Photo:  The menu is posted on the side of the restaurant, and includes drinks, sandwiches, dumplings and egg rolls.

Photo:  I must confess that I've never had the opportunity to enjoy a "Bao Sandwich," and the "Spicy Chicken" variety listed on the menu grabbed my attention, along with my hunger.

Photo:  My friendly hostess, Sophann, who along with her husband own the restaurant, took my order.  The order format is simple, as you make your selection from the menu, pay for it, give Spohann your name, and when your order is ready, your name will be called.  There is no seating at the restaurant, but there are ample benches nearby, which make for pleasant dining, as you enjoy your meal, and watch the events of the farmers' market unfold.

Photo:  Meet Sphann and her husband, who are the friendly owners and staff of the restaurant.  Dumplings are steaming in the pots.  The restaurant is compact, and set up for each event, as there is no "brick and mortar" presence.

Photo:  There is a grill in the back of the restaurant where chicken and shrimp were grilling.  Chicken is first grilled, then deep fried, which combines the best of grill and deep frying... in my opinion, the two best cooking methods on the planet!

Photo:  My host presented my "Spicy Fried Chicken Bao Sandwich" to me after about ten minutes after I placed my order.  The service is fast, but Boba and Bites isn't a "fast food" restaurant, as all food is prepared and cooked immediately after your order is placed, and is custom-made, and served hot and fresh.

Photo:  I'm a happy guy, as I relax at one of the nearby picnic tables, and prepare to enjoy my "Spicy Fried Chicken Bao Sandwich," and the amazing atmosphere at the Mahaney Park Farmers Market.

Photo:  I went with a "Spicy Fried Chicken Bao Sandwich," which the menu describes as, "Crispy friend chicken with siracha mayo and pickles in a bao bun sandwich."

The sandwich - or slider - started out with a soft, chewy bao bun, about the size of a corn medium tortilla, which was thick, oval-shaped, steamed to the perfect, soft texture and simply delicious.  Bao buns are native to China, but are common over most of southeast Asia, and have truly found a home in Roseville at Mahaney Park.  The "chicken" in the sandwich was two boneless slices of chicken, which were quite large, marinated, breaded and deep fried to a crispy dark golden brown on the outside, and juicy and tender inside.  The chicken was on the spicy side - about the "spice level" of a jalapeņo pepper - which worked perfectly for me.  The sandwich was garnished with dill pickle slices and liberally garnished with siracha mayonnaise.

My sandwich was simply delicious!  The chicken was perfectly deep fried, the "spice level" was just right, and the pickles and the mayo contrasted with the spicy chicken and bao bun to create a perfect sandwich!  All ingredients worked together to make for an amazing Asian-fusion sandwich, unlike many others you'll find in Roseville.  The sandwich was the perfect size for a snack, or a light lunch, and made for a perfect early lunch on this amazingly beautiful early fall, late Sunday morning.

Photo:  Another look at my "Spicy Fried Chicken Bao Sandwich," with a good look at the spicy deep fried chicken, drizzled with siracha mayo.  If you're looking for a delicious, Asian alternative to a hamburger, or your typical sandwich, you should check out Boba and Bites, when they set up their restaurant in Mahaney Park, and at various locations in Roseville, and the greater Sacramento area.

If you're never enjoyed a "Spicy Fried Chicken Bao Sandwich..."  what are you waiting for?  Stop and her husband are super friendly people, the price is right, the sandwich is delicious, and the atmosphere on Sunday morning at Mahaney Park is as fun, and family friendly as it gets!  Boba and Bites serves amazing drinks, dumplings, sandwiches and more, nearly every Sunday morning at Mahaney Park Farmer's Market, located in Roseville, CA.
