Pacific Street Café, located in the historic "entertainment" district of downtown Roseville, has everything that a breakfast lover longs for, including location... local-flavor menu selection, delicious food, friendly staff, ample portions, local ownership, excellent value, and... need I say more?  Over the years,  Pacific Street Café has built a reputation as one of the premiere breakfast establishments in Roseville.  On Friday, September 09, 2016, my wife and I had the opportunity to enjoy a superior breakfast at this fine restaurant.

As with all of my reviews, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  Pacific Street Café is located in the "entertainment" district of historic downtown Roseville, on the west side of the railroad tracks.  The City of Roseville has spent millions of dollars to rejuvenate the downtown area, and the work shows, as now the once-neglected area west of the railroad tracks is now vibrant, and full of restaurants, small shops, night clubs, and even boasts a recording studio.  The railroad tracks are just to the left of the photo.

Photo:  Fall is in the air as you walk in the door of Pacific Street Café.  If the fall decorations don't grab your attention, the railroad decor will.  You're greeted with a large, O-scale model of a Union Pacific "Challenger" type of steam locomotive, and a G-scale train continuously circles the restaurant, on track mounted near the ceiling.  It's appropriate that the decor is railroad-theme, as the restaurant is located across Pacific Street from the railroad tracks.

If you love to watch trains, you're in luck, as Pacific Street Café features a large-scale model train, that rides the model rails located near the ceiling; the model trail even sports the defunct Southern Pacific Railroad - the previous owner of the "real" railroad located next door, before being purchased by Union Pacific Railroad - so as you enjoy your breakfast, you can watch the model train in action.  If you're interested in the "real deal," Union Pacific's massive Roseville rail yard, and their main line over the Sierra Nevada mountains, is located just outside the front door of the restaurant, and the City of Roseville has even erected a elevated platform to provide an excellent vantage point to view the railroad in action.  If you want to mix big-time railroad action and great food, than Pacific Street Café is your place to enjoy breakfast.

Photo:  I love the large-scale model train that continuously circles the restaurant!  The tracks are mounted near the ceiling, and the train travels very slowly, and takes a few minutes to circle the restaurant.  Look closely at the engine... where are the hand rails?  What about safety?  Gee, I guess the G-scale crew have never heard of OSHA!

Photo:  Our friendly server, Naomi, takes Sharlene's breakfast order.  Friendly Kim, can be seen in the background of the photo.  She didn't wait on us, but she exchanged pleasantries and small-talk as she passed by.  Pacific Street Café is divided into three dining room, and we're in the dining room that faces the railroad tracks, so we can watch all of the railroad action as we're enjoying a wonderful breakfast.  The photo gives a good look at the charming dining room.

Photo:  Kin "clowns" it up for my camera, as I snap her photo.  I love friendly and enthusiastic staff!

Photo:  Naomi brings our breakfast to our table with a smile.  Naomi was very pleasant, friendly and efficient, and kept my coffee cup full.  Truly a great person and a great asset to the team!

Photo:  Sharlene and I prepare to enjoy a delicious breakfast.  Thanks to our great server, Naomi, for snapping our photo.

Photo:  Pacific Street Café is open for breakfast and lunch only, so you know they're serious about breakfast.  The breakfast menu is extensive, and it has something for everybody, including vegans, vegetarians, and folks watching their weight.

Today, I just HAD to go with Polish sausage and eggs, as this combination is one of my breakfast favorites.  You get your choice of toast, potatoes, and the way you want your eggs cooked.  As always, I chose sourdough toast, and my eggs cooked over easy.  The sausage is cooked medium, unless you tell your server otherwise.  You have the choice of home style potatoes or hash browns - I go both ways - but today I chose home style potatoes.

Pacific Street Café serves a delicious breakfast, and it certainly deserves it's superior reputation as one of Roseville's finest breakfast restaurants..  We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, were treated like family by the friendly staff, and enjoyed the model trains that ply the endless track around the restaurant.  If you're in the mood for a great breakfast in historic downtown Roseville, look no further than Pacific Street Café.
