Nasser and Rula Sger, the owners of Primo Pizza, located in Rocklin, CA. are some of the friendliest owners that you'll ever have the pleasure to meet, and the restaurant, Primo Pizza not only reflects on their friendly personalities, but it serves delicious food, in a sports bar-like atmosphere.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's a little past the 11:00 morning opening time on Friday, April 30, 2021, and I've arrived at Primo Pizza Burger Brew to enjoy one of their amazing burgers, the "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger."

The covered patio was extended into the parking lot last year at the beginning of the COVID days, and now that the virus is abating, the patio is still in use and it looks like it's here to say.  I love to dine on a patio when the weather is nice, and on this 75-degree late Friday morning in late April, the weather is perfect for patio dining.

Photo:  The spacious, covered patio takes up three parking spaces in front of the restaurant, but it's a nice addition to the restaurant, as it allows for comfortable outdoor dining.  There are large propane heaters used on cool evening, which on this spring day in late April most likely won't be used until October.

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the beer and wine bar, the open kitchen to the rear, and the tall tables, tall stools and tall barstools.  the wood paneling and television monitors give the dining room a definite "sports bar" atmosphere, but the restaurant really isn't a sports bar.

Photo: Primo Pizza Burger Brew specializes in pizza, but sandwiches and burgers are a vital part of the 5-page food menu.  Today I was in the mood for a burger, so the third page of the menu is where I stayed.  I just "had" to order the "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger," as it fit my taste today.

Photo:  I placed my order with Chandler, who was working the cash register, along with the co-owner, Rula, who seemed to be everywhere, doing everything.  Note the beer taps to the left of Rula, as Primo Pizza has 21 beers on tap.  Both Chandler and Rula, along with other staff members were super friendly, and welcomed my photo taking.

Photo:  Meet Rula, who is the co-owner of the restaurant, as she brings my draught beer to me with a smile.  This lady is as friendly as it gets, and she treated me like a member of her family.  No wonder Primo Pizza enjoys such a wide customer base in western Placer County.

Photo:  After Rula delivered my beer to my table, I was able to take a peek into the open kitchen and watch the talented chefs at work.  I'm a "sucker" for restaurants with an open kitchen, and Primo Pizza's kitchen is open, so you can watch all of the magic unfolding.

Photo:  Orders are complete, and ready to be served to the table.

Photo:  Meet Chandler, my friendly server who brings my "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger" to me with a smile.  He apologized that he couldn't remove his mask for the photo, as he said the county requires him to wear it whenever he's serving customers.

Photo;  Thanks, Chandler, for snapping my photo, as I get ready to enjoy my cheeseburger.  My cheeseburger was brought to my table on the patio in only about 15 minutes after I placed my order.

Photo:  From the "Burgers" section of the food menu, I went with the "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger," along with an order of fries.  The menu simply describes this burger as "Topped with lettuce, tomato, mustard and mayonnaise. At the top of the "Burgers" section, the menu states all burgers are a quarter pound and the meat is 100% Angus beef.  Since today was my first visit to Primo Pizza, the "Old Time Cheeseburger," along with an order of fries seemed like a great place to begin.

All burgers on Primo Pizza's menu are 100% Angus beef, and you get your burger cooked your way, in my case, I requested when I placed my order that my meat patty be cooked medium, which is the way that I prefer, as my tastes are very simple.

My juicy, seasoned, tender and perfectly cooked medium beef patty was placed on a fresh potato roll.  The potato roll was firm, slightly floured on the outside, and sweet, chewy tender on the inside.  Like lesser rolls on a cheeseburger, this bun held together so I could enjoy all of the flavors at once, which make a cheeseburger a true culinary delight.  The meat-to-bun ratio was a perfect balance.  The single slice of American cheese was slightly melted, which is "just right" in my cheeseburger "book."

The ample amount of lettuce and tomato were fresh, with just the right amount to add a bit of "crunch" and to add the touch to a delicious cheeseburger that only happens when you include veggies.

Combine the perfectly cooked beef patty, the fresh, potato roll, the crisp veggies, the perfectly melted cheese, not to mention mayonnaise and mustard... I can truly say that Primo Pizza produces an amazing cheeseburger, that is as "old school" as it gets.

Primo Burger gives you a very large order of fries with your burger!  The fries were large, "steak cut" size, which happens to be my favorite, and deep fried to a golden brown.  The fries were perfect, as they were crispy golden brown on the outside, and tender, chewy, white on the inside, just like great fries are made to be.  My server asked me if I'd like a cup of "Ranch" dressing to dip my fries into... yes!

Combine the delicious burger along with a mountain of some of the best fries in western Placer County, and the "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger" makes for an outstanding lunch at Primo Pizza.

Photo:  I cut my "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger" in half, for easier eating, and to look at the layers of goodness in this "old school" cheeseburger.

My "Old Time Classic Cheeseburger" was an amazing cheeseburger! I love the friendly, sports bar-like atmosphere at Primo Pizza, located in Rocklin, CA. Such a fun, friendly restaurant to sit at the bar, or on the comfortable patio, and sip a cold, draught beer, enjoy great company and a wonderful meal.  I look forward to many future visits at Primo Pizza!
