For nearly 30 years Mandango's Sports Bar and Grill has been an iconic destination for sports fans, and lovers of fine, traditional "Americana" cuisine, as Mandango's is noted for it's fine food, cold beer, and friendly hospitality. Wait... there's much more, as Mandango's Sports Bar and Grill is a full-service sports bar, with over 20 flat screen monitors tuned to the latest sporting event.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's 11:00 in the morning, Saturday, February 05, 2022, and I've arrived at Mandango's Sports Bar and Grill to enjoy their amazing "Americana" cuisine.

Photo:  As you enter, the first thing you'll notice in the GIGANTIC room is the bar, along with the 24 - or is it 25? - HD flat screen television monitors tuned to the in-progress 2022 Winter Olympics and other sporting events.  The dining room is furnished with high tables and matching stools and chairs.

Photo:  If you like to play games, you've come to the right place, as Mandango's has three Billiard tables, three electric dart boards, and a 22-foot shuffleboard table.  For your musical pleasure, there's a digital jukebox that's stocked with a seemingly unlimited selection and variety of "blue collar crowd" musical favorites.

Photo:  The large bar is the centerpiece of the room, it's U-shaped, and seats about twenty or so.  The bar features a wide array of beer - domestic, premium and micro brews - on tap, with other selections in the bottle.  If you're a fan of mixed drinks, the well-equipped bar will pour whatever you like.

Photo:  Ara pours a draft beer from one of the many taps at the bar.  You can get an idea of the number of television monitors in the room... you'll certainly never run out of sports to view!

Photo:  The first page of the "It's The Weekend Breakfast Menu" offers mostly egg selections, with griddle favorites listed on the second page.  Breakfast, or actually it's more like brunch, is only served on weekends.  Since today was Saturday, I was torn between ordering a "Mandango Burger" or a breakfast selection, but in the end, breakfast won out.

The complete menu at Mandango's is SIX pages, which is ENORMOUS for a sports bar!  Click on the image to see all six menu pages at Mandango's Sports Bar and Grill.

Photo:  Friendly bartendress Ara pours a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale for a customer. The bar features 20+ beers and ales on tap, with other selections in bottles.  The bar also features a modest selection of red and white wines.

Photo:  The walls are decorated with pennants and signs from Northern California sports teams, along with photos, beverage logos, and neon beer signs.

Photo:  The open kitchen is located at the end of the bar, and you can watch the talented chef prepare your meal. On this late Saturday morning, I "opened up" the kitchen, and for a few minutes, I had the restaurant to myself, but that didn't last for very long.  My hostess told me the restaurant and bar gets very busy as the afternoon and the evening progresses.

Photo:  Meet Ara, my amazingly friendly hostess, who brought my breakfast to me with a smile.  She treated me like family, and provided friendly, efficient service.

Photo:  I'm a happy guy, and I smile as I prepare to enjoy my delicious breakfast.

Photo:  From the "Weekend Breakfast Menu," I ordered "Two Eggs Any Style," with bacon as my choice of meat. Your eggs are cooked to your request, you choose between white, sourdough or wheat toast, and your meat choices are bacon or sausage.  For a little extra, you can upgrade your meat to ham or Canadian bacon.  All "egg" breakfasts are served with "House Potatoes."

I ordered my two eggs cooked over easy, and my eggs arrived, perfectly cooked, just like I ordered.  The eggs, along with the potatoes were cooked on the griddle with butter, which made for a simply amazing taste.  The breakfast chef has talent, as these eggs were cooked perfectly!

Like the eggs and potatoes, my three pieces of bacon were cooked perfectly, with just the right texture.  Normally, I'm hesitant to order bacon, as most restaurants cook bacon until it's hard and crunchy, which isn't to my liking.  I prefer bacon cooked on the soft side, and if I think about it, I'll ask it to be cooked that way when I place my order. Today, I forgot to ask, but my bacon arrived perfectly cooked to perfection.  Thank you, Mandango's!

The "House Potatoes" were diced and seasoned, cooked on the griddle using butter, and grilled to a lovely, crunchy golden brown on the outside, and tender and juicy inside.  There were absolutely delicious!  A little cup of ketchup was provided for dipping - which I normally don't do for breakfast - but the "kid" came out in me and I actually dipped a few chunks of potato into the ketchup.

The piece of sourdough toast was cut in half, grilled to perfection, hot, and liberally coated with melted butter.  I used it to sop up any little bits left of my delicious potatoes and eggs.  Oh yeah!

Mandango's Sports Bar and Grill provides a delicious, quality breakfast that will satisfy the cravings of all who enjoy a quality breakfast.  Another added bonus is the price... $6.95 for this breakfast!  Is it really February 05, 2022?

Mandango's will treat your taste buds to delicious "Traditional American" style cuisine, and you'll be amazed at the reasonable, "2012-like" prices.  The staff will treat you like family, and you'll enjoy the festive atmosphere of one of the largest sports bars in town.  Mandango's Sports Bar and Grill... located on Sunrise Ave in Roseville, CA.
