Hooch's Sports Bar and Grill Pizzeria is the latest sports bar to open in Roseville, CA and is the first new sports bar to open in west Roseville for five years or so.  The opening of this restaurant has been long overdue, and much anticipated by west Rosevillians, who enjoy fine food, good times, and cold beer.

As with all restaurant reviews I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's a little past the 10:00 opening time in the morning on Sunday, December 04, 2022, and I'm ready to enjoy breakfast at Hooch's Sports Bar and Grill Pizzeria, in Roseville, CA.  Oh my... was I in for a surprise!

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, you're treated to a very vacant counter, and as the sign states "Please Seat Yourself" into the dining room to the left of the counter.  Alright...

Photo:  Hooch's Sports Bar and Grill Pizzeria opens every Sunday morning at 10:00, and offers pizza, burgers, breakfast, beer and more.

Breakfast was supposed to happen on Sunday morning, and I was looking forward to doing some serious eatingt at Hooch's, but when I asked for a menu, I was curtly informed that no food was available.

Wait a minute!  The restaurant opens at 10:00 on Sunday for breakfast... No food?  Alright... is this a way to advertize and to run a restaurant?  Gee... if you advertise you're going to be open for breakfast on Sunday... why not deliver?

Photo:  I seated myself at the dining room, and checked out the full service bar.  There were many television monitors playing NFL football games in progress.

Photo:  If this dining room looks familiar, it used to be the home of Rosati's Pizza in Roseville, but Hooch's has remodeled the restaurant, but kept the same "ambience" from the former restaurant.

Photo:  My hostess - I assume her as the owner of the restaurant - greets my camera with an unwelcome gesture. She DEMANDED that I erase any photos that I took of her and her restaurant.  Gee?  She wouldn't give me her name.  Gee? ... Alright.  OK, honey... whatever you wish for...

On the other hand, she offered me the beer "on the house," which was truly gracious of her, and in total contrast to her hostile nature.  I left a "five spot" as a tip and a word of thanks.

Photo:  I enjoyed a Budweiser beer, "on the house," thank you, but I can't say anything about the food, as it didn't happen.

Just for the record, the photo is a "selfie" as my "hostess," refused to take my photo, after I requested her several times. Dismal service?  Worst service?  May I state maybe one of the WORST restaurant experience in Roseville? Or the greater Sacramento area? ...  You got it...  for a not-so-good dining experience at Hooch's Sports Bar and Grill Pizzeria!

Well... here we are with a very...  shall we say dismal? ... restaurant that pretends to be a sports bar and pizzeria? How many ways can you spell the word "unfriendly?"  Where were the pizza or the burgers?

Oh well... there are hundreds of other resaurants to enjoy in Placer County, so Hooch's Sports Bar and Grill Pizzaria just fades into a place that I'll never visit again.

Hasta la vista, baby.
