Review of The Morongo Valley Cafe

Have you ever had the chance to visit Morongo Valley? The country is beautiful, the people are friendly, and it's home to the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, which is a federally recognized tribe of Native Americans. Morongo Valley is also home to The Morongo Valley Cafe, which serves a superior breakfast, especially if you're a lover of Spam, as I am.

As with all of my reviews, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo: It's mid Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016, and I'm parked at Morongo Valley Cafe, and I'm anticipating a great breakfast. Morongo Valley Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch only, so if you're a fan of breakfast, as I am, you know they're serious about breakfast. Yes, that's my big Ford truck which proudly flies the Stars and Stripes.

Photo: The main dining room is small... perhaps tiny... but it's cozy, and this restaurant is truly a favorite of the locals. I chose to sit at the small counter, which is in the center of the photo. My friendly server, Ruben, is helping other diners.

Photo: The breakfast counter is center-stage in the small, modest, dining room. I sat next to the gentleman in the photo, who is dividing his time squarely between texting, and enjoying his breakfast.

Photo: Since Morongo Valley Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch only, they are truly serious about breakfast, and their menu features a vast array of breakfast selections. After seriously scanning the menu, I zeroed in on the Grilled Span and Eggs option, as that seemed like the right thing to do on this mid Wednesday morning, in October, 2016.

Photo: Ruben took my photo, and apologized for the lighting, but I used fill-in flash, but it barely got the job finished. No worries, as I'm about ready to enjoy a delicious breakfast of Spam and eggs.
