Cook's Station is a rustic roadhouse diner, located at nearly the 5000 foot level in California's Sierra Nevada mountains, that "comfort food" and is a favorite of locals, and travellers on Highway 88. Unlike many small, family owned and operated restaurants, Cook's Station features a HUGE menu... 18 pages in total! As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences. Cook's Station's menu is in a loose-leaf binder, as it contains a full 18 PAGES of breakfast and lunch goodness, and every item on the menu looks amazing! Photo: The first page of the menu is "Breakfast." and features, as the menu describes, "Eggs, Etc." Cook's Station is open from 07:00 until 14:00 every day, and this fine restaurant is serious about breakfast, as much of their menu is devoted to a wide array of breakfast choices, including several "monster" selections. Any N.F.L. linebacker, pro wrestler or lumberjack would find their breakfast appetite satisfied at Cook's Station. Photo: Second page... are you interested in chicken fried steak? Photo: The third page of the menu features many omelet choices. Photo: Scrambles highlight the fourth page of the menu. Back to Cook's Station main article. Photo: More scrambles and breakfast burritos on the fifth page. Photo: The sixth page of the menu highlights breakfast sandwiches. Cook's Station is certainly serious about breakfast! Photo: One full page of the breakfast menu highlights corned beef hash! In all my days of "eating," I have NEVER seen a restaurant that devotes a full page of their menu to corned beef hash. It's all here at Cook's Station... Back to Cook's Station main article. Photo: More biscuits, browns and eggs are featured on the eighth page of the menu. Photo: More "browns..." Photo: The 10th page of the menu features pancakes, and French toast offerings. Photo: How many restaurants have you seen that devote a full page of the menu to oatmeal? It happens at Cook's Station. Click on THIS LINK to return to Cook's Station main article. Photo: The eleventh page of the menu begins with lunch, and showcases burgers. Lunch is served starting at noon for only two hours, as the restaurant closes at 2 in the afternoon. Photo: More burgers... If you're a fan of burgers, Cook's Station is your restaurant! Photo: The fourteenth page of the menu concludes the wade array of burgers offered at this amazing restaurant. Photo: Sandwiches begin on the fifteenth page of the menu. Photo: More sandwiches. How many restaurants feature linguica on grilled sourdough bread? Cook's Station does! Back to Cook's Station main article. Photo: Sandwiches and specialties continue on the menu. The "Elvis Special" and the "Fish and Chips" really interest me. Photo: The eighteenth page of the menu ends the selection with sides, and a few items for the kids. Quite an impressive menu for a small, "mom and pop" restaurant! Back to Cook's Station, main article. Cook's Station Copyright(c) 2021 eRench Productions. All rights reserved.
