The members of the Sacramento Breakfast Club know what a good breakfast is all about, and that's one of the reasons why we held today's meet at Country Gables Café, one of Roseville's best breakfast locations. It's also an added bonus that the restaurant is located within walking distance from my house... Photo: Country Gables Café features comfortable dining, in their attractive dining room, and also outside on their patio. On this Thursday morning, August 2, 2012, we preferred to dine indoors, as by 0900, the temperature was already quite warm. Photo: This is the view of the restaurant as you walk in the front door, with the kitchen and breakfast bar to the right, and a rather narrow strip of tables and chairs to the left. The main dining room is straight ahead and around the corner. Photo: We were seated at a table for eight in the main dining room, as our friendly hostess, Vonie, takes our order. Vonie and the rest of the staff remembered us from our last visit, nearly two years ago... I suppose my picture taking and the personality of our group must have made a lasting impression, for better or for worse. Photo: I ordered two eggs over easy, a sausage patty, hash brown potatoes, biscuit and gravy, and of course, a bottomless cup of coffee. A couple of years ago, the local newspaper asked the readers to nominate a restaurant to win the title of "Best Breakfast in Roseville," and Country Gables Café won the title. Personally, I can't say who serves the best breakfast, but Country Gables definitely serves a delicious breakfast. Country Gables Café definitely serves a great breakfast, and we love everything about Country Gables Café, as the food is delicious, fresh, and plentiful, the staff is friendly, the dining room is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast experience is as good as it gets.
