Back to the 1960's dining in Moab, Utah?  Definitely, at Moab Diner, where the staff are super friendly, the decour is "neo 50's," the menu is traditional, and the decor is pure 1960's.  The cosine is awesome!  Too bad the prices reflect 2018, not 1968...

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's around 7:30 in the morning, Tuesday, September 18, 2018, and I've arrived at Moad Diner, located in Moab, Utah, and I'm ready for breakfast.  It's a good thing that I arrived when I did, as 20 minutes after I arrived, a tour bus showed up, with lots of hungry diners.

Photo:  As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the stainless steel counter, the friendly staff at work, and the semi-open kitchen.  Notice the clock to the left of the photo... it's kind of backwards.  To tell the truth, during my visit, I really didn't notice the clock - I wear a wrist watch - but after publishing this photo, I noticed the strange clock.

Don't you just LOVE the Moab Diner in neon above the counter?

Photo:  The dining room of the restaurant is quite interesting, as it's divided into two sections. both separated by a wall.  Many windows let in the natural, Moab sunshine, and there are many photos of period autos, and posters to decorate the walls.

Photo:  Since today was my first day at Moab Diner, how could I resist choosing number one on the breakfast menu?  Moad Diner is dead-serious about breakfast, as breakfast is served anytime the restaurant is open, which chalks this restaurant up as a "winner" in my book.

The "quaint" name of Lion's Back, so you ask?  Moab, Utah is recognized by everybody as the "Four Wheeling Capitol of the World," and "Lion's Back" is a very famous mountain that serious 4-wheelers visit Moab to enjoy. If you like 4-wheeling, Moab is your destination, and Moab Diner is your destination restaurant.

In addition to 4-wheeling, Moab is a mountain biker and river rafter paradise.  Actually, practically any outdoor activity is available in Moab, with the exception of snow skiing.  Personally, I prefer to fourwheel on the slickrock trails...

Photo:  After I placed my order, I had time to wander around the restaurant, chat with the friendly staff and take more photos.  Most of the furniture is booths, but there is a large table on "the other side of the wall" that can seat 8 or 10 guests.  The dining room is large, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.

Photo:  I took a few photos of the super-friendly staff doing their jobs, and many of them joked with me, and cracked up as I took photos.

Photo:  Meet Patti, my friendly server, who treated me like royalty.  Patti is a super-friendly gal, who takes great care of dudes like me, with a smile, and isn't afraid of cameras.  My kind of person!

Photo:  Thanks, Patti, for taking my photo, as I smile and get ready to enjoy my "Lion's Back" breakfast.

Photo:  Today was my first visit to Moab Diner, so when you're a rookie, and it's breakfast, why not start with the #1 choice on the menu, the "Lion's Back?"  I'm a firm believer at starting at the top, and then working my way down...

"Lion's Back" is your basic meat-potato-egg and toast breakfast.  I broke out of the mold today and chose ham for my breakfast meat, but kept to my de facto standard of eggs over easy, along with sourdough toast.  Hash brown potatoes were the potato offering on the breakfast menu, which is fine with me, as I order hash browns most of the time.

Yes, the breakfast was delicious, cooked perfectly, and served by some of the friendliest staff on the planet.

I definitely LOVE diner cuisine, and I definitely LOVE friendly service, and I scored the jackpot at Moab Diner, as I received both of my "loves!"  I left with a full stomach, a smile on my face, and change in my wallet.  I scored the JACKPOT at Moab Diner, located in Moab, Utah.
