Monday, October 7, 2013, after an aborted railfan trip that really never happened, I spent much of the day in Los Algodones, Mexico, stuffing myself on tacos. However, back in my motel in Yuma, as evening fell, I got the urge for a burger, and to my delight, the local Burger King restaurant was located just across the street from my motel.
Photo: I arrived around 2000 on a cool, Monday evening, to a mostly deserted parking lot. This Burger King is a very modern restaurant, and it has all amenities, even a playground for the kids.
Photo: The spacious, clean and ultra-modern dining room was deserted when I arrived. I snapped this photo while my order was being prepared. Due to the fact that the place was deserted, my Whopper arrived in less than 5 minutes.
Photo: Counter gal Kimberly hands me my order. She was a bit surprised when I whipped out my iPhone and took this snapshot, but I used the line, "I love to take photos of beautiful women," and she was good with it.
Photo: Tonight's dinner, a Whopper with cheese. If you love Whoppers, you'll love this restaurant, as this sandwich tastes exactly like any other Whopper. Delicious!
