The CA4WDC Sierra Trek event has been in business for 56 years, and is the largest event of the four wheel drive community in northern California. This amazing four wheel drive event is held at Meadow Lake, which is both a reservoir and a campground, located in the Tahoe National Forest, northwest of Truckee, CA.

Meadow Lake is at the 7300' elevation in the Tahoe National Forest, about an hour drive away from Truckee, CA, which would be the nearest town of any size. Can you say remote?

The ban is a regular at Sierra Trek and is appreciated by four wheelers and people who enjoy great live music. So many fun and entertaining things to do in camp during the event! You could easily amuse and entertain yourself by not leaving camp, as when the event begins early Thursday afternoon, there is always something going on. The Sierra Trek Committee made this a well-planned and fun four wheel drive event! I enjoyed my stay of five nights at the 56th Sierra Trek, officially held this year from August 10th to the 13th.
