El Parian is a small chain of Mexican restaurants, located in the greater Sacramento area, that is known for delicious, authentic cusine, reasonable prices, large portions, and family-friendly dining. Sunday, June 24, 2012, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Roseville location...
Photo: El Parian Taqueria and Cantina is located in a new, upscale strip mall, on Fairway Drive, in Roseville's "big box" area, across from Home Depot. Offers lots of easy parking.
Photo: Like most taquerias, you walk up to the counter, make your selection from the menu posted above the counter, pay for your order, and for all of your trouble, you get a plastic number. You seat yourself at the table of your choice, and one of the friendly staff members will bring the order to your table. In the photo, Sharlene has placed our order, and is paying for it. Note the well-equipped chip and salsa, bar, which offers all-you-can-eat tortilla chips, and many varieties of in-house made salsa and condiments, including guacamole! Note the squeeze bottles of ketchup... yes, that's ketchup!
Photo: Greg's breakfast of Huevos Rancheros is placed on our table. Note the plastic "26," which was our order, and the large mug of beer - my beverage of choice - on the table. El Parian serves Pacifico beer on tap, which is as good as it gets.
Photo: Sunday, June 24, 2012, my sister and her husband were visiting us, and they love Mexican food, so we thought it would be a good idea to visit El Parian Cantina and Taqueria. I must admit that this is our first visit to this fine Mexican restaurant, as we live across town and don't get in this vicinity as often as we'd like to. Photo: I rarely resist ordering chorizo and eggs for breakfast, and as per my protocol, today was no different. My breakfast of chorizo and scrambled eggs, refried beans, Mexican rice, a small salad, sour cream, guacamole, and flour tortillas. Chips and guacamole from the bar can be seen in the photo as well. The breakfast was delicious, but my only complaint was that I ordered corn tortillas, and I was served flour tortillas instead. That's just a minor gripe, as I could have taken the flour tortillas back and traded them for corn, but I like flour tortillas, so I just ate them, and enjoyed something a bit different than my usual. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it, which is one of the things that has made El Parian a favorite taqueria to the Roseville and Rocklin locals. We highly recommend El Parian, in you're in the mood for some deliicous Mexican cusine... El
