During the past 11 years that I've lived in Roseville, I must have passed by this place 1000 times, but I'd never taken the time to stop by. The other day, I was surfing the web for Roseville delis... and their website popped up... and I liked what I saw. All changed on Saturday morning, April 23, 2011, when I took the pledge... and the hike... to enjoy a delicious pastrami sandwich at Better Foods Deli. D Photo: Better Foods Deli is located on Douglas Blvd., in Roseville, and offers lots of easy parking, and they're close to almost everything in Roseville. The sign advertises that they've been in business since 1970, and I truly believe that statement, as it's low-tech, pure 1970's inside... and wonderful!
Photo: You walk in, and inside, you'll find lots of comfortable seating, lots of deli food, and a menu with lots of sandwiches, potato salad, and other offerings. These folks are fans of Oakland Raider football - Go Raiders!!! - as the east wall of the deli features Raider photos and memorabilia.
Photo: My pastrami sandwich has been made, and I snap a photo before I pay for it. Photo shows the "kitchen," and the behind-the-counter photo... at Better Foods Deli, you can watch your sandwich being carefully crafted, if you're not distracted by the Oakland Raider football memorabilia.
Photo: The gentleman behind the counter was kind enough to snap my photo, as I pose with my delicious pastrami sandwich, and a can of Pepsi. The only "nit" that I can pick about Better Foods Deli is that they don't sell beer... but coffee and/or Pepsi are my second favorites, so there are no problems and no worries...
Photo: At 10 O'Clock on a Saturday morning, what could be better than a delicious pastrami sandwich and a can of Pepsi? Best Foods Deli delivers a delicious, quality sandwich, at a reasonable price. Oh yes... the folks are very friendly and eager to please. If you're a fan of Oakland Raider football, you'll be in heaven... I love this place!!! I can understand why Better Foods Deli has been in business since 1970, as the food is good, it's reasonably priced, very fresh, and the people are friendly.
