Most speakers of the English language know the word for friend, in the Spanish language, is "amigo."  When the word is applied to a restaurant, you'd expect the restaurant to be friendly, and serve great Mexican cuisine.  In the case of Amigo's Mexican Restaurant, located in Bishop, CA, the words "friendly" and "delicious" definitely describe this fine Mexican restaurant.

As with all of reviews that I publish, I have no affiliation with the restaurant reviewed, and there is no monetary gain on my part, as I am simply a person who likes to eat, and I love to write-up, and publish my dining experiences.

Photo:  It's early Friday evening, November 09, 2018, and I've walked the four blocks from my motel to enjoy dinner at Amigo's Mexican Restaurant, located in the heart of downtown Bishop, California.

Photo:  Amigo's Mexican Restaurant has two dining rooms, separated by a wall, but on this lightly-seated, early Friday evening, only one dining room was being used.  I matter, as the dining room is very clean, and family-friendly.

Photo:  The restaurant seemed to be doing a lot of take-out business on this early Friday evening, as my friendly server, Daniel, has an order, ready to go.  Looking in the center of the photo, you'll get a peek into the kitchen, with the kitchen staff hard at work.

Photo:  I sat down at my table, and even before the menu was brought to the table, chips and salsa arrived.  The chips were hot and fresh, and the salsa was absolutely wonderful.

Photo:  The dinner menu at Amigo's Mexican Restaurant features just about everything would could wish for. Actually, I was in the mood for deep fried tilapia, which wasn't on the menu, but that wasn't a problem, as I headed for the "Combinations" section and made my choice.  In numbers...?  Number 17.

Photo:  My super friendly server, Daniel, brings my order to my table, hot from the kitchen.  As I took his photo, he asked if I'd like him to take photos of the kitchen staff.  Heck yes!!!

Photo:  The kitchen staff tonight at Amigo's Mexican Restaurant, as photo'd by my friendly server, Daniel, who is as friendly as it gets.  He actually took my camera and took photos of his co-workers at work, in the kitchen.  Amazing!

Photo:  Thanks, Daniel, for snapping my photo, as I'm ready to enjoy a delicious dinner of authentic Mexican cuisine.

Photo:  From the "Combinations" section of the dinner menu, I ordered a #17, which is advertised as a "Taco Chile Relleno" dinner.  All dinners, including my "Combination" include rice and beans.

May I describe my dinner in a single word?  The word is:  Perfect.  You can not imagine better rice, beans, chile relleno or authentic Mexican taco.  When you include the fresh, warm tortilla chips, the delicious in-house-made salsa, and the amazingly friendly service, Amigo's Mexican Restaurant rates at the top of Eastern Sierra Mexican restaurants!

Amigo's Mexican Restaurant truly lives up to it's name, as it's a friendly restaurant, staffed by friendly people, who treat you like family.  Oh, by the way, the authentic Mexican cuisine is delicious.  I recommend Amigo's Restaurant, in Bishop, California, when you're in the mood for great food and friendly service.
