A few weeks ago, a reader of this Web Site let me know that Peg's Glorified Ham 'n Eggs had opened a location in Roseville, without fuss or fanfare.  Having eaten at Peg's downtown Reno location previously, I knew what to expect - a superior breakfast!  Friday, September 06, 2013, the Sacramento Breakfast Club held a meeting at Peg's, to scientifically compare the new Roseville location, to the established Reno location.  Read on...

Photo:  Peg's has four locations in the Reno, Nevada, area, and on July 30, 2013, they opened the Roseville location, which, as of this writing, is their only location in California.  Peg's is located in a new strip mall, about a mile east of I-80, on Douglas Blvd., in Roseville.

Photo:  Peg's Roseville location offers a very spacious dining room, with a good mixture of tables and booths.  Like the downtown Reno location, it features an open kitchen, where you can observe the kitchen staff at work.

Photo:  I love the open kitchen, and the breakfast bar, where you can observe the kitchen staff preparing delicious meals.  Peg's Glorified Ham 'n Eggs is serious about breakfast, as they're only open for breakfast and lunch, which is a true "green" flag for a breakfast lover.

Photo:  Our friendly and gracious waiter, Juan, brings a portion of our breakfast order to the table.  He was assisted by the lovely and talented Kate.  My Monterey Skillet Breakfast is sitting on the table.  More on that in a couple of photos.

Photo:  How can I not enjoy posing with a beautiful lady?  I pose with Kate, who assisted Juan with our orders, and helped keep our cups full of delicious coffee.

Photo:  My Monterey Skillet Breakfast, which, like the menu says, is served in a skillet.  I enjoyed Chile Relleno and Eggs, which is a homemade chile relleno topped with Peg's ranchero sauce, two perfectly fried eggs over easy, served with golden hash browns, pico de gallo, cabbage slaw, fresh pinto beans a slice of cantaloupe, and warm corn tortillas.  The platter of delicious food was enormous, delicious, and filling!  This is one of the best breakfasts that I've enjoyed in a very long time. Muy sabroso!

Peg's Glorified Ham 'n Eggs has been voted "Best Breakfast in Reno" many times, by various venues of the Reno media, and we certainly can understand why, as Peg's serves a superior breakfast!  We love the open kitchen, the friendly staff, and the innovative, delicious food.  You won't go home hungry, as the portions are enormous!  Mary and I were the only members today to finish our breakfasts; everybody else took most of theirs home in a box.  We predict in the not too distant future that Peg's will win a "Best Breakfast in Roseville" award.
