With a name like Grandma's Kitchen, that's reason enough to warrant a meeting of the Sacramento Breakfast Club, as that name would imply the restaurant features our style of cusine!  After enjoying a great meeting at Grandma's, last December, it seemed like the right thing to do is to visit this fine restaurant again...  So on Friday, February 15, 2013, the Sacramento Breakfast Club held it's bi-monthly meeting at Grandma's Kitchen, as we wanted to enjoy another superior breakfast.

Photo:  Granite Bay, which is a "suburb" of Roseville, CA, doesn't allow signs on the street, so you have to look for Grandma's Kitchen.  It's easy to find, as it's located in an upscale strip mall, tucked away behind a Taco Bell restaurant.  It's in a great neighborhood, and there is ample parking.  Outdoor dining is offered, today, the outdoor tables were stacked on the patio, as there were no takers for outdoor dining, including the members of the Sacramento Breakfast Club

Photo:  Our friendly server, Tammy, takes our orders.  We had made prior arrangements with Grandma's Kitchen, via Facebook, and they were expecting us, so we had a reserved table waiting for us.  Grandma's Kitchen has a "u-shaped" dining room, at the back end, at the largest table in the restaurant.  I had told them that we were expecting a party of 8 or 10 people, so they set a table for 10, which suited today's 8 members just fine.

Photo:  Grandma's Kitchen features an open kitchen, which can be clearly seen, and photographed, from the cashier's station.  I love restaurants with open kitchens!

Photo:  Tammy brings Bev's delicious breakfast to our table.  Our large group of 8 hungry diners kept Tammy quite busy, but she kept our coffee cups full, and delivered our delicious meals with a smile.

Photo:  My breakfast choice from Grandma's Kitchen's vast array of breakfast choices:  "Abuelita's Chorizo 'n Eggs."  What a breakfast!!!  "Abuelita's Chorizo 'n Eggs" breakfast includes eggs, chorizo, country potatoes, refried beans, and a stack of corn tortillas. As per the fact that Grandma's Kitchen offers custom orders, I elected to have my chorizo separate, and my eggs fried, over easy.  Normally, chorizo and eggs are scrambled, but Grandma's Kitchen takes custom orders.  This breakfast was quite similar to many breakfasts that I've enjoyed during visits to Tijuana loncherias, which is a tribute to Grandma's Kitchen!

Grandma's Kitchen dishes out the sort of "comfort food" that everybody's grandmother would be proud of.  What better credential could a restaurant achieve?  In the scores of restaurants that the members of the Sacramento Breakfast Club have reviewed, all we can say is Grandma's Kitchen is as good as it gets...
